All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

(Note- The title will change as we get nearer the election, previous titles will be archived in the OP)

All signs point towards Hillary recovering from her bout of pneumonia.

Not the Parkinsons, though.

No matter who becomes President, I go on vacation just one day before Inauguration Day for my dream snow trip in upstate New York. After that, I doubt I'll ever want to come back.

Run into the forest and shoot at anything that doesn't speak English.

Now I'm imagining you interrogating squirrels to see if they speak English lol

Parkinson's is very difficult to hide, especially when they're 70 years old. We'd see constant and visible trembling at all her appearances. And there is very little medication that can do anything to alleviate the most serious symptoms.

In the past hour and a half threedifferent women have come forward with stories of being groped by Trump. Then there's that video of him smiling at the prepubescent girl and saying "in ten years I'll be dating her" (harmless though creepy in itself, but serves to reinforce the pattern of his lack of respect for women).

His campaign really is in a death spiral. There is a legit chance that Clinton wins Georgia.

That shit was pretty much to be expected. He's causing more harm to his campaign with his infantile, squalling tantrums and enraged threats to commit treason and overthrow the government unless he is crowned King of America.

Once again, why didn't this come out sooner? It's not like Bill Cosby where after the 20th woman people are still all like "hm, I just don't think he would do that..." I could probably tell people Trump groped me and they would believe me. So where were these accusations before...?

Also, daily reminder that Bill Clinton is a literal rapist.

Women are ruining Trump. On top of the comments he's also just physically repulsive and I think most women want to see a lady in the white house.
There's not a whole lot going for him. The maternity leave thing was a good idea, he needs to come up with like 10 more of those ideas soon.

Partially it has to do with Trump's vulgar comments. Another part has to do with the kinds of things and policy decisions the Republican Party at large have said about women.

Here's a small sample:

"Obviously rape is awful, what is beautiful is the child that could come from this." - Brian Kurcaba (R)

"I think that even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen," - Richard Mourdock (R)

“If a woman has (the right to an abortion), why shouldn’t a man be free to use his superior strength to force himself on a woman? At least the rapist’s pursuit of sexual freedom doesn’t (in most cases) result in anyone’s death.” - Rep. Lawrence Lockman (R)

“Granted, the percentage of pregnancies due to rape is small because it’s an act of violence, because the body is traumatized." Celeste Greig -President of the 'Conscience Of the Republican Party'

"If it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down," Todd Akin - Republican

"The facts show that people who are raped - who are truly raped - the juices don't flow, the body functions don't work and they don't get pregnant. Medical authorities agree that this is a rarity, if ever." Henry Aldridge - Republican

"I believe and I think that the right approach is to accept this horribly created, in the sense of rape, but nevertheless, in a very broken way, a gift of human life, and accept what God is giving to you." Rick Santorum - Republican

"I struggled with it myself for a long time, but I came to realize that life is that gift from God. And, I think, even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen," Richard Mourdock - Republican

"I'm pro life without exception. Understand though, that when we talk about exceptions, we talk about rape, incest, health of a woman, life of a woman. Life of the woman is not an exception." Joe Walsh - Republican

"But on the rape thing, it's like, how does putting more violence onto a woman's body and taking the life of an innocent child that's a consequence of this crime, how does that make it better?" John Koster - Republican

“Back in my days, they used Bayer aspirin for contraceptives. The gals put it between their knees and it wasn’t that costly.” Foster Friess - Republican

After all the extremely stupid shit Trump has said (and even not that long ago was winning) a comment ten years ago about grabbing a woman's pussy is what tanked his campaign. America is such a dumb place.

Here's a small sample:
Jesus christ dude, did you just go around pulling all of those quotes 'about women' or did you have that list ready to pump out when you saw an opportunity to make the Republicans look bad? Neither option is great. And the craziest thing about it - none of those quotes are about women or in any way similar to 'grab her in the pussy'. What they are, is about abortion. And why would someone be opposed to abortion even in the case of rape? Because their religion has told them for 5 decades that it is literally murdering a baby that their God wanted on Earth.

Do I agree with them? Fuck no, even if life begins at conception I think women should be able to choose whether they keep it or not. Do I think they said some stupid shit, fuck yes - particularly the three morons who got their medical advice from the medical equivalent of creationism. Do I think they should be ousted for those comments and replaced with politicians who don't let their religion dictate their politics? Absolutely. But none of what you quoted is against women, and it is exactly that kind of partisan propaganda that has lead to the current clusterfuck of exceptionalism, where people genuinely believe Trump or Clinton will bring about the apocalypse/world war 3/concentration camps.

Personally I'd much rather hear "grab her in the pussy" than any of those disgusting quotes diminishing rape or at best demonstrating a gross misunderstanding towards its effects.

In all fairness those comments most likely cost them their jobs. Furthermore they teach them not to say that shit whether they say it because they don't understand how others hear it or they are genuine shitbags is up to you.

I think you're nitpicking here. This is what @Pikimon said (I added the "made"):
Another part has to do with the kinds of things and policy decisions the Republican Party at large have said[/made] about women.
If you revise it to:
Another part has to do with the kinds of policy decisions/positions the Republican Party at large have made regarding women's issues.
Then everything Pikimon has said is entirely on target.

Laws against abortion are frequently seen as anti-woman by women. For good reasons. The Republican party has a much worse track record with this issue than the Democrats. Because of that, I don't think it's unreasonably partisan for women to be against the Republican party. I think that's just an honest evaluation of the choices they're being presented with.
