A Hillary presidency, to me, means a referendum of approval for the current administration's disastrous foreign policy. Remember, under Clinton's tenure as Secretary of State, we saw the beginnings of Syria's bloody civil war by not forcing Assad out of office by our own effort, but instead equipping/training so-called moderate rebels.

We must not allow the messes we have created in the Middle East, the Pacific and Eastern Europe to continue if we are to ensure the safety of our own and our position internationally. Remember that at the ballot box.

“I am sickened by what I heard today,” Ryan said in a statement released Friday night. “Women are to be championed and revered, not objectified. I hope Mr. Trump treats this situation with the seriousness it deserves and works to demonstrate to the country that he has greater respect for women than this clip suggests. In the meantime, he is no longer attending tomorrow’s event in Wisconsin.”

Republicans had planned a day of unity in a key battleground state ahead of Sunday night’s pivotal debate.

Ryan, who has long had an uneasy relationship with Trump, was scheduled to make his first joint appearance with the nomine at the annual Wisconsin Fall Fest in Elkhorn.

This is likely Ryan telling Trump to make a meaningful apology ("What I said in 1995 is not what I mean now, I have grown to respect women due to the many achievements of my daughter and wife as independent women etc. etc.") to stave off negative polling bleeding over to the Senate race.
 
Maybe Trump and Pence. should talk more about how horrible it is for women to get abortions, that will prove that Republicans think women are to be championed and revered.

God forbid someone treats women like fellow human beings and not precious little children who need to be "champion and revered", who's entire self-image is shattered when some guy says something stupid. I find his comments even more sexist. Why not let Women decide for themselves individually instead of speaking for them as if they are some sort of monolithic entity?

Yes, and they're currently buying up lots of land in other countries, in some cases enormous swaths of land in countries like France. Also Africa, but it's not as easy to keep track of that. They're certainly going to be doing some inscrutable oriental shit with that land.

Can you see what Ryan is doing here? He's part of the somewhat classically conservative wing of the party, and he's already pivoting for what he perceives as the post-Trump party. This isn't something he's being forced to do by Trump's deplorable behavior, it's an opportunity he's jumping on to present himself as a clear alternative.
