All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

(Note- The title will change as we get nearer the election, previous titles will be archived in the OP)

So Trump basically does what every other corporation in the world does. I'm not under some delusion he's a grand savior of America, perhaps some people are under that delusion. I feel as if you are making arguments against people who aren't on this forum, I don't think anyone on this forum really thinks Trump can "Make America Great Again".

I just find it odd these seemingly strange double standards people seem to be holding during this whole election. Apparently massive Presidential issues for Trump are Tax loopholes he's taken advantage of. A Woman who has accused him of sexual assault. Buying materials from the cheaper country. And being mean to Women. These are the things that make him unelectable?

Next to the Clinton Foundation, suspected cover ups of her Husbands infidelity, being fired from the Watergate Lawyer team, running a private email server that spread unsecured top secret documents, destroying evidence involved with that email server, and possibly murder.

I mean it just boggles my mind that people compare the two candidates and still think, yeah they are about as bad as each other. I mean why does Clinton get this pass? What is it? Do you think everything negative about Clinton is just lies? It's all made up?

  • I'm going to explain this slowly because apparently my previous posts may have not been clear enough.
  • Donald Trump is an unqualified person to be President.
  • Trump lacks the experience, the knowledge, and the temperament to be President.
  • He is easily baited, easily manipulated, and incapable of any form of introspection.
  • In just a few months he has denigrated prisoners of war, veterans, victims of PTSD, the disabled, women, Religious and Ethnic minorities, the educated, and the poor.
  • He is incapable of being a functioning human being, let alone President.

But let's break it down bit by bit on how shit of a candidate he is.

Many of his proposed policies are unconstitutional and he knows very little about the constitution
Donald Trump does not know how how the government functions and what powers the president has
Trump's tax plan will add $15 trillion to the national debt over ten years
Trump proposed printing more money to fix the national debt
Trump's healthcare plan will cost $550 billion and double the amount of uninsured people

The border wall is a terrible idea

Donald Trump approves of torturing suspected terrorists and their families, CIA says no

Trump openly calls for the U.S to commit war crimes and advocates for the murder of innocent women and children.
Trump on torture: “Even if it doesn’t work they probably deserved it anyway.”
Trump's Muslim plan unconstitutional.
Trump pledges to open up Libel Laws on Newspapers in order to curb Freedom of the Press.
Trump fights against separation of Church and State
Trump believes asbestos is safe and the reason for it being labeled dangerous is due to a mob lead conspiracy.
Trump believes vaccines cause Autism despite hundreds of studies proving beyond a reasonable doubt that they have no connection.
Trump is a Climate Change denier

Notice that these are all implicit policy positions or direst beliefs from the man's own mouth.

These aren't hilariously paranoid conspiracy theories from the 90s about stolen white house china perpetuated by the same people who think that Hurricane Matthew is a liberal conspiracy (As Matt Drudge stated earlier this week http://nymag.com/daily/intelligence...ne-matthew-might-be-a-liberal-conspiracy.html) and by misanthropic manic-depressives begrudgingly still living with their mothers who emotionally tied and invested to Trump's campaign due to their own shortcomings.

And for all his efforts to "Make America Great Again" it really shows just how effective his message has been so far.

Yes I understand all these criticisms, what I want to know is. What makes Hillary Clinton better in your eyes. Experience? Qualifications? Being a career politician? Because it appears to me thats the main thrust of the argument.

At this point is kind of laughable to think that Trump not being a career politician is a plus for him. Is clear he doesn't know how to react when is out of self promoting himself.

Make America Great Again is the ultimate elevator pitch: A quick attempt to both grab your attention and sell something with little specifics. He's a larval politician in the age of Twitter and Facebook. That has been more and more clear in an age of 24 news coverage from anywhere that gets reception

low effort posts get low effort ratings. That pic is almost a reaction image.

So you lose your shit at low effort posts? Okay then.

So he must be a career politican, but he doesn't know how to market himself? Which one is it then?

Hillary does whats shes told to do, and says what shes told to say. Or do you think what she says is what her actual beliefs are? And she regularly goes "off script"?

settle down ya spastic

No, she can't. Amendments to the US Constitution can only be proposed by Congress with a two-thirds majority vote in both the House and Senate, or by a constitutional convention called by two-thirds of state legislatures. The POTUS has no role in the amendment process.

It's a great bogeyman for the political fringes to use though, the idea that the POTUS has that kind of power.

That's exactly it. People seem to forget that our country was founded on deep skepticism of authority. The Founding Fathers were absolutely terrified of one person or one institution having too much power; that's why it takes forever for anything to actually get changed/implemented/etc, because laws have to go through a ton of channels. From the very beginning the American political system has been governed by checks and balances.
