All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

(Note- The title will change as we get nearer the election, previous titles will be archived in the OP)

So, just like the Cuba Embargo story hit his poll numbers in Florida, now we have a story that may effect his numbers in the MidWest and New England.

The United Steelworkers union is upset after a Newsweek magazine report that Donald Trump used Chinese steel and aluminum in recent construction projects, and has launched a campaign to encourage its members to vote against the Republican presidential candidate.

The report by investigative journalist Kurt Eichenwald found that Trump used Chinese-made steel for the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas that was purchased through a holding company registered in the British Virgin Islands and that he bought Chinese aluminum for the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago.

The Trump campaign did not respond to either Newsweek or the Times of Northwest Indiana requests for comment.

USW International President Leo W. Gerard said Trump was “hypocritical” and “fundamentally dishonest” on trade issues at a time when 19,000 steelworkers have gotten layoff notices because of cheap imports.

“Trump desperately tries to appeal to Midwestern working class voters with promises to stand up for American workers and bring manufacturing jobs back to Ohio and Pennsylvania,” Gerard said. “But he sold out those very workers, their families and communities to save a few dollars on cheap building materials from Shanghai and Guang-Dong.”

So much for being tough on China.

The outright shilling for Hillary in the mainstream media is frankly disgusting, the worst part is (to me at least) that so very much of it is self-censoring.

These asshats aren't even being paid for by Hillary, they're doing this to be "on the right side of history'

Its disgusting.

Like anyone is going to buy expensive crappy American stuff. The American government basically forces their allies to buy their crappy fighter jets.

"The total purchase cost will be, according to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), around A$12.8 billion, and the same again for upkeep. The F-35s are to replace the RAAF’s 71 Hornets (six Super Hornets are currently in Syria and Iraq).

The total cost of the long running JSF program is some $1 trillion. Nine ally nations are involved."

American steel and aluminium is of far superior quality than Chinese steel and aluminium which often shirks around the safety and purity regulations that are necessary to ensure structural quality. The only reason why Trump chose Chinese steel and aluminium is because its cheaper than American steel and aluminium. Trump chose to line his pockets and save money over supporting American workers.

Which also flies in the face of Trump's supposed admiration for American-made products and the condemnation of people who utilize foreign goods to avoid paying American workers. It especially contradicts his previous statements concerning Chinese steel.

This is absolute trufax. Anything made in China is fucking garbage compared to what we make here.

Sadly, both possibilities for being the next "President" are going to shit all over America and ship our jobs overseas and sell us inferior Chinese garbage.

Do you think you have a choice in this election?

If so, lol, you are stupid as fuck. You have no choice at all. Both of these fucking scum you can choose are going to do exactly the same thing to you.

With Iron the big problem (as the article states) is that several countries do this to eachother (The US does it mostly with agricultural products such as wheat, corn, soy, and barley) is that they overproduce of a certain amount of resource and flood out the native market in another country.

It's called dumping

"Dumping" is defined by the Commerce Department as an instance when "a foreign company sells a product in the United States at less than its fair value." Unfairly or unnaturally low prices on imported goods shake up market shares for domestic producers. Consumers and companies generally try to get the most bang for their buck when making purchases, so the more expensive domestic goods are more likely to be skipped over for the cheaper imports.

The Commerce Department in December recommended a preliminary tariff of 256 percent, which was increased Tuesday to 266 percent. The higher duties for China and the rest of the countries named in the Commerce Department's investigation are expected to kick in at some point in the next few days but must pass final approval later in the year.

The next few months of tariff deliberations with China, Brazil and others almost certainly won't involve Donald Trump. But for a brief and shining moment, the GOP front-runner and the Obama administration appear to be on the same page.

So Trump basically does what every other corporation in the world does. I'm not under some delusion he's a grand savior of America, perhaps some people are under that delusion. I feel as if you are making arguments against people who aren't on this forum, I don't think anyone on this forum really thinks Trump can "Make America Great Again".

I just find it odd these seemingly strange double standards people seem to be holding during this whole election. Apparently massive Presidential issues for Trump are Tax loopholes he's taken advantage of. A Woman who has accused him of sexual assault. Buying materials from the cheaper country. And being mean to Women. These are the things that make him unelectable?

Next to the Clinton Foundation, suspected cover ups of her Husbands infidelity, being fired from the Watergate Lawyer team, running a private email server that spread unsecured top secret documents, destroying evidence involved with that email server, and possibly murder.

I mean it just boggles my mind that people compare the two candidates and still think, yeah they are about as bad as each other. I mean why does Clinton get this pass? What is it? Do you think everything negative about Clinton is just lies? It's all made up?

do you hate clinton because she is a woman

No, but I do wonder if people just hate Trump because he resembles the epitome of everything the modern lexicon seems to hate and wants to stamp out.

Is this because your feminist girlfriend threatened to stab you like you told me over PMs?
