All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

To give credit, Trump is doing a better job not pissing everyone off. I haven't heard anything about him doing anything as dumb as asking why we can't use nukes three times in a single speech. As for Hillary, she's looking weak with her health issues and is just not popular in the first place. At least that's how I see it.

I'm sure he'll say something stupid and his poll numbers will slide again.

Trump just challenged to Clinton to eventually have a moderatorless debate on MSNBC like the Lincoln/Douglas debate.

All Trump needs to do right now is stay away from Twitter and not say anything stupid and he's gonna walk in the White House

He will wreck her harder than pneumonia if it happens. Which is why she'll never agree to debate unless the full MSM is there to defend her.

Trump to his credit has been very gracious in response to Hillary's health scare and wished her a speedy recovery, something he did when Rosie O Donnel had health issues as well.

Right now the advantage is in Trump's court as his chances for presidency have risen to 30% while Hillary has slid to 69% in FiveThirtyEight. Optics is the name of the game as Trump has to prove he can contain himself in the next few days, and Hillary has to prove that she's healthy enough to hold office. That's not to say that this incident will define the race, there is still a lot of work to be done if either candidate wants to hold the office, and in this election there are still a lot of opportunities to fuck up or rise up.

Hillary's Pneumonia isn't unique on the campaign trail as John Kerry in 2004 had a similar case of pneumonia.

Sen. John F. Kerry of Massachusetts, the Democratic presidential nominee in 2004, described the physical toll in an e-mail to The Times.

"No matter how old you are or what kind of shape you're in, the campaign trail is exhausting," Kerry wrote. "There's no break. You eat on the run, you sleep where you can and you have late nights and early mornings. You have to fight to preserve exercise time to clear your head. There's no such thing as having a sick day or slowing down.

"I remember on the bus in Iowa, my staff thought I'd broken a rib from coughing because my walking pneumonia was so bad."

You go around the country shaking hands and kissing babies with little to no sleep and its no wonder anyone would get sick. However Hillary's tendency to hide things from people rather than being forthright about her health issues has hurt her.

The thing is Clinton could have used this to her advantage. "Yeah I'm sick. Yeah I feel bad but I want to be your presdient and nothing is gonna stop. I can't rest when if I get in office so I won't rest now" it would have been hammy but it would have looked better then hiding it

She still has time to make that statement and come out ahead, but like everything else in this election its wishful thinking and will likely be met with skepticism.

Heh, someone linked me to a hillaryclinton.com page. No dissent allowed.

I thought maybe it was a bug or something, like that a "I disagree (but tell me more)" button or some shit failed to load. But nope. Just "I agree".
I've actually gotten similar shit from the DNC, who still email me begging for $$$ even though I only gave them $5 last time because I hate Mormons more than dindus.

They will also disguise ebegging as surveys, where if you answer the question it takes you straight to a "Donate Now NOW NOW" page.

I got some weird email from some Democratic party group with the subject: OK with losing, Marvin??

Then it goes on some rambling spiel about how we need to reach our goal NOW NOW NOW NOW . But they never explain what the goal is.

I'm totally down with pitching in a few bucks to various causes, but you have to at least tell me what we're collecting money for.

My favorite was a few days ago. Got one of the DNC emails that shows up as being from Nancy Pelosi. It was marked as important with the subject line "Help, I'm Being Attacked"

I think she'll regain her lead in the debate (and Internet War Criminal, you kinda have to have a moderator at a debate otherwise it's just two people trying to shout over each other). Trump can work a crowd, and I am frankly amazed that he's managed not to put his foot in his mouth lately, but a debate is different. He'll have to convince people still uncommitted either way (I'm sure there are a few) that his two big ideas of building the wall and a ban or ideological test for Muslim immigrants is not only okay, it's vital to their safety. And I just can't see it going over well.

The issue with Trump's ability to "work a crowd" is that at the presidential debates the crowd is specifically vetted to not clap, boo or react in any way.

Just mark anything you get as spam and let google do the rest. I hated it when they did this last time. At least then they didn't have a candidate that was utterly desestable.
