I love how salty some Trump supporters are getting over his immigration flip flop, while the other half are pulling a Katrina Pierson. He's literally using Jeb Bush's talking points, and it is hilarious.

It's barely even a flip flop, he's just using nicer words to describe it.

It's typical dumbness since when illegals work in any remotely legitimate job, other than just being used as under minimum wage slaves, they pay the same payroll and Social Security taxes as any real American, except they're never going to get to collect on the SS stuff.

So if anything, the illegals should get a refund on the Social Security benefits they'll never collect since the papers their felonious employers used for them used fake SSNs anyway.

The Great Wall of Trump would have been as effective of keeping out illegal immigrants as the Great Wall of China was at protecting the Song Dynasty (spoilers: the Song Dynasty fell and was replaced with the Mongol controlled Yuan Dynasty)

Saying "im gun build a wall and make mexico pay for it" is the Trump equivalent of saying "I'm going to put soda in all of the cafeteria's drinking fountains!"

On a side note, the BBC did a neat little article today on the widening gap between left and right.

That's not being progressive at all. That's taking some of the worst elements of the past and calling it modern thinking.

What's wrong with continuing the brutal injustices of the past to support your fragile viewpoints instead of defending them like a sane person? Who cares if ordinary people on either side are being thrown in jail? They weren't entitled to their opinions, anyway.

In all seriousness, though, both of the major American political parties have basically turned into organizations dedicated to their own continuation and the opposition's elimination, the final stage of any political organization's life cycle. Even though they have similar goals, they refuse to work with each other and are courting radicals, genuinely dangerous ones. Whoever wins this little power struggle will validate and raise in importance their own little radical sect.

Politics has always had violence. Pretty amazing there we survived 200 years, to be honest. Either both sides are loaded with tons of violent loons, or that's confirmation biases. Why the fuck would a media outlet with a conservative agenda talk about liberals being attacked by conservatives? And vice-versa. Social media just fuels the firestorm by bombarding you with the agenda of choice. I doubt anyone who is a die hard Trump supporter is following Hillary Clinton on Twitter and subscribed to the Huffington Post.
