I agree with you that we should do more in the region, but at the same time, we need to look at the big picture and avoid trading blows if possible. Most of the world would be screwed if China and America went to war, doesn't matter who would win. Its frustrating, but I doubt we're going to throw our allies under the bus, especially considering their postion in the Pacific.

If they were to try to start shit over those islands they'd have a shitshow on their hands they probably wouldn't be able to control.

China doesn't need to fight ship to ship,they have hundreds of bombers capable of firing dozens of anti ship missiles per plane.
Yeah America would most likely "win",although it would be a pyrrhic Victory.
Yes a true America vs China big war is unlikely, for now.
The Chinese government is stable for now,but when the economy goes to shit, there is a large chance of hardliners getting into power and doing stupid shit.
I also have a feeling that China is planning something, the bases in disputed territory are obviously a response to closer ties of Vietnam and America and Taiwan new pro independence party being the winner in the 2014 elections.

The only reason Trump pivots towards Russia in favor of China is because Germans resemble Russians more than they resemble Chinamen.

Any policy that shallow is poison the more it's enacted.

Oh my, lol. Why??? Come on Rudy, you're smarter than that. To be fair to poor, confused ole Rudy, 9/11 was what, about 8 months after G.W. Bush was sworn in? I suppose he could have meant that since that initial attack and the governments response to it, there had been no more terrorist attacks on American soil.
