All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

(Note- The title will change as we get nearer the election, previous titles will be archived in the OP)

Excuse me while I barf the deepest part of my bowels right out of my mouth.
Let's not pretend she isn't entirely correct on this, as the ever growing list of black men being killed by police in bullshit circumstances continues to prove. White America isn't forced to teach their kids on how to always comply and be as calm as possible around police officers to avoid being murdered.

Really is that why the majority of people killed by the police in the US this year have been White and Hispanics.

It isn't.

The most up-to-date database for national police shooting deaths, maintained by the Washington Post because the U.S. government doesn't actually bother with reporting the statistics reliably, is at 238 white deaths, 123 black deaths, 79 Hispanic, 23 other, 46 unknown.

Yes, more whites die in total than blacks by police officers. A little under twice as many whites have died compared to blacks. But, then again, considering there's over five times as many whites in the country than blacks, the fact there's not even quite twice as many deaths of whites compared to blacks is massively uneven.

Are there other possible explanations? Certainly, blacks are more likely to be involved with crime per capita, to name one, which naturally puts more of them at risk of being involved in deadly police confrontations, among other things. I'm not saying that all police officers are racists who hate black people or something, both black and white officers treat black suspects they deal with the same. It isn't something as simple as people being consciously racist, or it being only a problem with white officers, but it's not to say we don't have a problem with law enforcement treatment of blacks as a whole is simply untrue.

Even if she were sincere on that point (and time and time again has proven she's insincere on almost everything), the timing is extraordinarily poor and inappropriate considering 5 police officers were gunned down by a madman with military training.

This is effectively walking up to police officers' families and saying "Well, they should'a been nicer to blacks!"

Considering that literally the exact tweet three-minutes before that was Clinton saying that people cannot vilify police officers, and that they died protecting a protest, I'm pretty sure she wasn't blaming the police for it.

Maybe it only looks that way if you conveniently gloss over the part that argues exactly the opposite.

It's also worth noting that even fucking Newt Gingrich was saying the exact same thing that day.

"It took me a long time, and a number of people talking to me through the years, to get a sense of this: If you are a normal, white American, the truth is you don't understand being black in America, and you instinctively underestimate the level of discrimination and the level of additional risk," he added.

I get the feeling it's not even Hillary saying these things. It's all part of a carefully crafted image by her PR team. An image that appears caring yet tough, sympathetic towards black voters, but at the same time is staunchly pro police.

Welcome to literally every politician's Twitter account.

But I thought all politicians are totally 100% who they are and would never put up a front to trick people into thinking they're one thing when they're really another thing.

Only our father, master, and divine ruler Trump is an exception to that rule. He's completely what he says he is.

That's because "white" america (and asian america, and indian america, and etc) largely don't need to be taught not to act like confrontational thugs when faced with police. "Black" america on the other hand seems to be encouraged by their own people to chimp out violently when faced with any authority, almost as a matter of cultural pride. Of course this completely ignores modern day black african immigrants who aren't raised in violent ghettos by single mothers on welfare and their continuous string of baby daddies coming in out of their children's lives. Strangely enough this "black" america isn't subject to the same vagaries and vicissitudes, for some mysterious reason.

So it's a vague, amorphous, undefined problem that cannot be pinned down through any logical means, but it is also clearly an important issue that must be adressed. Blacks commit disproportionate amount of violent crime, blacks are disproportionately represented in shootings, blacks are disproportionately represented in cop killings, and these factors don't explain in your mind why they would also be disproportionately represented as victims of police shootings? Why exactly? It's very, very simple, you explain it yourself then somehow veer away from the obvious conclusion.

Just a reminder that Trump was the only one heroic enough to propose rebuilding the Twin Towers, and 90% of New Yorkers supported him.

God-Emperor Trump knows best; quit your whining and submit, degenerates.

Um fam, one of the first things black parents teach their kids is to not be overly confrontational to police officers or anyone. It's called "The Talk" and its when a black parent has to break it down to their child (usually at a young age) that their classmates and grownups might not treat them fair all the time because of the way they look, and that its a part of life. Seriously do you even know any black people?

My boyfriend was first given "The Talk" at the age of 7 when he and his sisters were walking back from school. They lived in a rural farming community in Central California so it was a 2-3 hour walk from school to home in Santa Maria.

On the way there a truck with some young white guys passed by, and one of them threw a beer bottle in their direction nearly hitting my boyfriend's older sister. As they drove by another one yelled out "GO BACK TO AFRICA YOU FUCKING NIGGERS!!!"

My boyfriend up to that point didn't know what a "nigger" was so he asked his mom. And she gave him "The Talk". And that's how my boyfriend learned he was different.

This is the election America deserves. An election between the 2 most despised presidential candidates in the history of America. Years of voter apathy, reality TV, and talking heads has lead to this moment. An election between a pompous, racist, billionaire, reality TV star, who had it's company not been owned by him would of been fired 20 years ago. And between a war monger who's the ultimate politician where every action is a carefully calculated political move carried out thanks to research on polls and focus groups.

They're not the candidates we want, but unfortunately they're the candidates we deserve.
