All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

(Note- The title will change as we get nearer the election, previous titles will be archived in the OP)

If it hasn't been obvious to you from day one that the Clintons and the Trumps aren't all above the law and blatant criminals, you're delusional.

Then again, Richard Nixon spent decades above the law. It was only when his crookery became so expansive and blatant that he was openly using IRS muscle to squeeze out any possible hope of McGovern support by the nation's one-percenters that he finally sewed the seeds of his own destruction.

Trump campain: self financed, cost not disclosed

Hillary campain: $46 million, Average donation $2,450. Super PAC funds not disclosed.

Bernie campaign: $23 million, average donation $23.25. No Super PAC funds listed

I think we know whose backing Hillary in this election...

Honestly I see no winner this time around. Neither candidate has any choice but to run as negativity as possible in the attempt to convince the average voter that they are the lesser of the two evils so you better vote for me because the other guys a crook.

Ya'll are totally fucked.

It's a very bitter pill to swallow. Having to choose behind someone who's evil level on a scale from 1-10 is 9.9 vs someone who is 9.8. Having to pick between a psychotic, racist, reality tv vs a crooked, flip-flopping, war monger. Honestly I find them both equally vile and repulsive. I can't find myself voting for either candidate in all honesty.

I give up.
I'm just not going to vote. Hillary's corrupt, but Trump's just as bad. If she wins, we have 4 more years of Obama-stlye congressional deadlock (not the end of the world), SJWs stop screaming about female presidents and start screaming about gay otherkin ones, and hopefully a decent Republican in the inevitable whiplash once Democrats do less well. If he wins, he gets deadlocked by the establishment Congress and cabinet into who knows what, doing whatever he feels like.
I still don't see what @Null does in Trump (probably the same optimistic honesty I saw in Bernie), but I can't support Hillary.

Please vote. if you stay home you just help enforce the status quo

Vote 3rd party. Vote vermin supreme. Write your own name in. Just vote to show that the system is broken and that you will won't be ground down into picking the less of two evils.

These both have roughly the same effect as staying home unless you live in one of the very few states that actually tallies write-in votes for unregistered candidates instead of throwing them in the garbage (I think New Jersey is one of them).

If you're a hardcore "Trump is literally Hitler and Hillary is literally Satan" type at least vote for someone who's actually on the ballot like Gary Johnson or Jill Stein.

"Trump is Evul!!"

:story:
As much as I dislike Trump, I don't think I can truly say he is an evil gentleman.
No, I don't consider him to be an evil person, so much as under qualified to handle certain things.
Crises such as the economy, for example.
He thinks that the US will never default 'because we print the money'
Over all, I do find myself agreeing with him on certain topics, actually. Such as immigration.
Really, it's his general lack of experience that is most troubling.

But, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe Trump would be the greatest president in all of
American history. I can't know for sure, unfortunately.
But, all things considered, it's rather doubtful.
You understand?

Personally I'm voting for jill stein. Climate change is one of my biggest issues and I get to vote for a female candidate who probably isn't awful.

As a center right Australian Gary Johnson is the person i'd vote for, even though the libertarian party is otherwise full of neckbeard stoners.

Because as a homosexual who doesn't want to be murdered, Trump winning the election is very important to me.

What makes you so sure Trump won't target the LBGTQ community, or any other minorities (like black people, such as myself, for another example.) with his rhetoric of "Make America Great Again" ? Oh wait...

The president can't really do anything that the rest of the government doesn't want.

Thanks to all this BS Deadlock, you're right about one thing - NOTHING will get done around here that isn't continuing propping up the 1% like the deserved scumbags they come across as to everyone.
