All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

The difference is Trump is misguided and buffoonish while Hillary is deliberately and unambiguously evil.
Nah, they're both evil. People are just far more willing to bring up how Trump is evil, while Hillbot gets the privilige of a consistently doublethinking press that happily lauds her for getting a man off for raping a 12-year-old girl.

However, since I'm not voting for either of them, the only thing I care about now is throwing as many rotten vegetables their respective ways as possible. It's actually rather liberating, and I recommend it to anyone who's losing their will to live.

Hillary Clinton only gives a shit about Hillary Clinton. I still cannot fathom why women and minorites support her, yet she's probably the worst possible candidate for these people.

She would sell them to the glue factory if it meant a few extra bucks in her pocket.
She wasn't fucking around when she said they'd be brought to heel.

I don't think that Trump has the right amount of experience to run a country, but Clinton refusing to even acknowledge that radical Islam played a role in the shooting is... not comforting, to say the least.
Why is this surprising? Clinton has never been anywhere close to an ally of the LGBT community. I'm really annoyed her involvement with DOMA has not come up more this election, but hopefully it will in the future.

@AnOminous brought this up earlier, but the bitch outright lied to Rachel Maddow's face about DADT and DOMA as a cheap tactic of scoring political points. Not much is generally said, because most gays are conditioned to vote for Democrats no matter how awful and selfish the policies they enact are.

Milo Yiannopoulos may be a freewheeling troll, but the man has a point about how minorities shouldn't just bend over for Democrats out of worry the Republicans will give it to them worse. Ultimately, this process poisons the entire country.

The point basically comes down to the fact that when the Democrats know you aren't going anywhere else, they have absolutely no reason to cater to you other than to pat your head and put a few tokens in place. They know you aren't going to bolt for the other party. Also, that other party has no reason to pretend to care about your interests, either. They know they aren't getting you.

If you are considered a captive voter, they do not give a single shit about you. They have you in the bag.

It's if they might lose you that they have to be afraid of what you might do. Then they might just listen to you.

It's not surprising so much as it is depressing.

Meanwhile in fantasyland, the manchildren of the Sanders subreddit trip over themselves in trying to rationalize the last defeat of the primary season.

Hey, if all the superdelegates switch to Bernie, I'll be right there with them, dancing in the streets.

While I'm at it, I would also like to win the lottery, and get hit by lightning twice.

It was over once he lost California. It's sad, really, but it's the truth. Build a bridge, Bernie Bros.

I'd love to see the superdelegates switch to him. The problem is, even if they did, he'd lose a lot of Hillary supporters. This entire time he's been decrying the current American voting system (rightfully) and if he won, it'd be because he was taking advantage of that very system he's been critical of. Much of his campaign has been based on "can't be bought" and "underdog" and "breaking the mold". If he accepted the nomination because superdelegates switched to him, he'd lose a lot of credibility.

So basically, whatever happens, he's fucked. I respect his decision for staying in the race still; that's his prerogative. But his supporters need to realize that it's not going to happen.

Just focus on electing proggressive senators into the general election. They got 39 of them in Maine already.

I'm not voting for that cunt. I'm sick of people telling me I have to vote between the lesser of two evils. I'm sick of people saying a third party vote is a vote for whomever the big bad of the year is. I'm not voting for someone who I do not morally align with.

Clinton is bad news. Trump is worse news. I can't stand either of them.

Maybe the presidential election wouldn't be so fucking dramatic if Congress took away some of the insane powers it so stupidly granted the office.

(Yes, I'm talking about shutting the gate long after the horse has bolted, I mean for the next horse.)
