Jihadists do that because they think the infidel's lives are valueless simply because they as muslims are superior. That's the similarity to your mentality that I was referring to. Yes, the animals that kill and blow up people indiscriminately must be stopped but without us devolving to their state.
I get that, but refer to how I pointed out the social evolutionary success of the Western European culture. Our society is superior to theirs, that's my whole point. And we're not even proud of that anymore. Culture is not incommensurable.
To put it simply, who's in the right here? It's not them. And someone's gotta wipe out the other because this shit has to stop. We got the economic might, failing that, the military might. It's like Israel and Palestine; might will make right regardless of who actually deserves the territory in varying moral arguments. And as Americans we cannot be ashamed of that. We've taken territories forcibly for hundreds of years and assimilated
many cultures or even wiped them out outright. Have we benefited as a world, or lost? I'd say we benefited.
I would prefer to simply leave them alone and die evolutionarily, but they also have a bad habit of creating entire states to plot against us (see Taliban and Saudi Arabia). So the question is not as simple as "leaving them alone", unless one is willing to accept putting bandaids on the Islamic problem. Wars in foreign countries fail because we go in, and puss out. Trump stands to be the first one who has little respect for what their peoples want, think, or feel, and to me that indicates a strong leader.
The best news though is that we don't need a war. Just
stop buying Saudi oil. If we starve these people to death, it won't take a fullscale war to destroy them.
Tell me something honestly. Suppose tomorrow one of your family members turns out to be a converted islamic terrorist or whatever like that, and has successfully carried out a hit. You knew nothing, had suspected nothing. Would you accept execution simply due to being their relative?
I wouldn't aid and abet them by letting them into my house and converting it into a military target. Again, Trump is not talking about hunting down and murdering relatives of terrorists for no reason. He's talking about destroying schools, hospitals, and homes that have been militarily engaged. Our soldiers are getting orders from on high to physically handle bombs because their detonation may impact surrounding civilians. Does this sound like sane, America-first policy to anyone?
The
big strength of Trump, and the whole reason why I think he has the right attitude, is because he's willing to be both proud of his culture, views it as superior, and is willing to stand up for it. Being the Nice Guy(tm) for decades since WWII has gotten us
nowhere. Trump in a sense embodies the bolder, older America that wasn't afraid to flex its muscle and be mean once in a while. Maybe it was a better analogy when Ben Carson referred to taking tumours out of reluctant children. What benefits us and the world at large in the long run? It's not tucking our tail between our legs, and laying wreaths at Hiroshima.
Trump's America looks coldly efficient, rewarding to those who work hard, and devoid of senseless empathy. In other words, it sounds like a
successful business. In a nation without jobs or promise because of the opposite of all those...that is
exciting.
