All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

(Note- The title will change as we get nearer the election, previous titles will be archived in the OP)

Confirmed for having no guts.

Thats quite pathetic.

Also trump university is an even deeper scam then most people thought.

But Trump University students—the very ones used by the presumptive Republican nominee’s legal team as evidence of that satisfaction—now tell The Daily Beast they were coerced into providing positive reviews and conned out of their life’s savings with little to show for their trouble besides a mountain of debt.
“Trump University is some [of] the best money I ever invested,” wrote Ryan Maddings inone of the evaluations for a 3-day Trump University retreat in 2008, one that Trump’s legal team points to in their motion as an example of “students [who] were very pleased with TU training.”
“It was a lie,” said Maddings, an ex-marine now 32, who told The Daily Beast that he racked up around $45,000 in credit card debt to buy Trump University seminars and products.

“We have a law against running an illegal, unlicensed university. This never was a university. The fraud started with the name of the organization, and you can’t just go around saying this is the George Stephanopoulos Law Firm/Hospital/University without actually qualifying and registering, so it was really a fraud from beginning to end.”
“It’s fraud. This is just straight up fraud. It’s like selling people something you say is a Mercedes and it turns out to be a Volkswagen,” Schneiderman added in a separate interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “And even if some people say, ‘Well, I actually kind of like the Volkswagen,’ it’s still fraud, ‘cause it’s not a Mercedes. This is not a university.”

He added: “Donald Trump’s sole role was in marketing. He was the pitchman. We have the videos of him making these false promises. He was not involved in the curriculum. He never met or trained the instructors. But he was clearly in charge of pitching this scam university to people, convincing them that it was his personal secrets and saying things like ‘come to the weekend seminar.’ ‘Learn what it took me a whole lifetime to learn in real estate.’ ‘You can get rich, too.’ That was his role.”

“Do you know that almost everybody in the lawsuit has signed a letter saying how great the school was? That’s why I won’t settle because it's an easy case to win in court,” Trump later said on Morning Joe. “I mean, how do you lose a case where people suing you have signed letters and affidavits saying that the school is terrific?”

This is exactly what Scientology does, from the forcing people to sign testimonials about how great the service was just to get out of the room, to the scamming people into maxing their credit.

Dumbfucks actually want to elect L. Ron Hubbard President.

I look forward to the election where both major candidates get indicted on felonies midcampaign.

I've been thinking about it for some time now; Glenn Beck has earned more respect from me in the last year than I thought was possible.

It reminds me of Andrea Dworkin. Woman was a kook in life and death, and wrong about many things. But while detestible hacks like Gloria Steinem shamefully abandoned their principles in public when the complaints came from someone it was inconvenient to support, Dworkin didn't let political expedience blind her to Bill and Hillary Clinton's appalling treatment of women.

It's amazing how much intellectual heft people put into pretending the Emperor is wearing a magic cloak, and all it takes is one ex-inebriate who dropped out of school to work as a radio DJ and smoke weed to yell out His Magesty's real hair color and circumcision status.

To be fair to Donald Trump anything that just is 3 days long is so obviously not a university that I am surprised it fooled anyone and he had minimal involvement in Trump university having merely had his name licensed to it. He should have been more careful but I don't think that this is something wrong that he did nor was it actually pretending to be a university.

This probably won't hurt Trump nor should it hurt him although the others involved should be charged

What's to be fair about?

He's still a crook either way. Your interpretation just makes him a lazy crook.

So when it comes to his business 'success' it was all his doing and not just him selling his name as a brand. But when it comes to one of his businesses commiting fraud, he dindu nuffin?
:story: Tell me more how Trump shouldn't take the blame for fraud when he personally signed off on the ads

Trump is not a good businessman. He is only a skilled politician and we should only judge him as a politician not as a businessman

Do not try to weasel out of this. A person's character is as important as their policy. Trump is shit in both areas
Donald J. Trump said:
“Well, I’ve been making deals all my life, and that’s why I’m worth many billions of dollars, more than $10 billion, because that’s what I do. I make deals, and you get it done. And the problem with Washington, they don’t make deals, it’s all gridlock, and then you have a president that signs executive orders because he can’t get anything done. I’ll get everybody together. We’ll make great deals for the country. We’ll take back our trade. We’ll strengthen our military.”
"I would borrow, knowing that if the economy crashed, you could make a deal,"
If he is a bad business man, and he tries to make up for the lack of dept, or basic tethering to reality in his policies by bragging about how great a business man he is and how he will 'cut deals', what's left?

The whole theme of his campaign is that he will use his skills as a businessman to "Make America great again". His background as a businessman is fair game to judge him on. Furthermore, he has never held office before so we can't judge him on his background as a politician.

With Trump supporters, when he does good it's because he's a businessman, not another politician. But when he does bad, "he is only a skilled politician".
Listen to yourself.

I think that he is more just a populist who tries to get people on his side with an inspirational message that is ultimately just a fantasy. To be able to run such an amazing campaign is a great accomplishment and shows that he is a good politician (not morally good but skilled, does things that most politicians wouldn't be able to do)

I think he is just another politician but he is much better at lying than the other ones. I do not support Trump I just respect him
