All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

(Note- The title will change as we get nearer the election, previous titles will be archived in the OP)

Trump's latest headline is that he thinks abortion should be banned and women should be punished for it somehow.
Honestly I can't fault him here. If abortion is murder, well, people usually go to jail for murder. I always thought the standard GOP position where it's, like, only kind of murder was really dumb.
Edit: he backtracked

I'm disappointed he didn't stick with that, it makes sense.

A female Sanders supporter goes to a Trump Rally, to call random 50-something year old men racist, misogynist, etc and just goes and punches the guy in the face. In response to her irrational behavior, and under the assumption that "Men won't hit a lady", she gets Maced right in her face, lucky she wore glasses to protect her eyes.

Guess she felt the Bern.

Do you have a video or article on this?

That's pretty funny considering the story I heard is that some obese unemployed wackadoodle, you know the typical trump supporter, was waddling around groping women.

The first half of the Libertarian debate just finished airing. If Gary Johnson and John McAfee could somehow fuse together (and get back all of the money that McAfee lost), the Libertarian Party might actually have a candidate who could at least affect the outcome of the election, assuming a Trump/Clinton matchup takes place.

The whole thing didn't look great, but it's better than anything else that they could have pulled off; it was pretty much on par with the big third party debate from 2012 between Johnson, Jill Stein, Virgil Goode, and Rocky Anderson.

So who said who has a small dick? This is important for our modern democracy.

Bernie Sanders apparently won Nevada now? Dafuq is up with this fucking election process where at first its like "Hillary won" and then "Nope jk Sanders won lolz"

The west is very liberal. Hillary Clinton is actually considered to be a Republican in the west.

Our local Republicans are literally about the same as national Democrats with a few notable exceptions.

North Dakota has recently selected its delegates via a state convention (ND Republicans decided not to hold a caucus or primary this year). Delegates are unbound but according to Politico 18 out of the state's 25 delegates are considered to be somewhat pro-Cruz, with only one ND delegate saying he might support Trump. In Tennessee, Trump is alleging that the state's Republican establishment is staffing the state's delegation with Cruz supporters. While the state's delegates will be bound to vote according to the primary's results (33 are to vote for Trump, 16 for Cruz and remaing 9 were originally bound to Rubio) they will be freed to vote as they please should the RNC fail to choose a nominee on the first ballot. The Wall Street Journal has previously reported that due to similar attempts by the Cruz campaign to influence the delegate selection process, Cruz may gain 10 more delegates than Trump in the Lousiana delegation despite Trump winning the state's popular vote.

If Trump doesn't get those delegates, it's his own fault for not having any organization on the ground whatsoever. One of the things that still amazes me about this cycle is how Trump can have such a shitty campaign and still be doing so well.

As much as I dislike Trump, even I think this delegate shit is outrageous on so many levels

The primaries and caucuses aren't meant to select a nominee--that's what the convention is for. The primaries and caucuses are meant to select delegates. More often than not, whoever "wins" the primaries gets the nomination, but that's not always the case.

That comes across as farcical to me. If people vote for a delegate who's representing the candidate they want, surely that should be respected. If another candidate can be shrewd enough to poach them after the state primary then what's the point of this exercise? :\

Just have the party pick someone internally then.

Anyway polling indicated that trump will lose Wisconsin, which was unexpected.

Some recent polling
