All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

(Note- The title will change as we get nearer the election, previous titles will be archived in the OP)

Anti-Trump Protester Confesses: ‘I Was Paid $3500 To Protest Trump’s Rally’

http://abcnews.com.co/donald-trump-protester-speaks-out-i-was-paid-to-protest/

"I’ll protest that guy for free,” Bradley said. “Trump is creating a place for like-minded, hate-filled, individuals to gather. You wouldn’t have to pay me anything to protest that.” Bradley continued, “Trump supporters are the last kind of people to donate socks to the homeless, they only care about themselves and their white race.”

Horner said the group had a mandatory six-hour training class that had to be completed before protesting at Trump’s rally."

That's what makes this seems fucking weird. It's not hard to go to a place and say "Donald Trump sucks baby dicks". So why did they have to teach the guy for six hours to say things like,“During training we were taught chants to shout like ‘Dump Trump’ and ‘Trump Is A Racist’, things like that. We were told how to respond to anti-Trump comments too. If a Trump supporter said something about how great his wall will be, the Latinos in our group would say, ‘We’re just going to tunnel underneath it.’

Who in their right mind would sit though that? I understand $3500 a day to argue is a pretty much a steal, but something seems retarded about this.

This whole election increasingly feels more and more like a WWE plotline.

Vince you got a whole year's worth of material for new storylines right here, i'm just saying.

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articl...r-rumors-peddled-by-marco-rubio-s-allies.html
The truth behind the rumor-mongering, however, is a little more complex. A half-dozen GOP operatives and media figures tell The Daily Beast that Cruz’s opponents have been pushing charges of adultery for at least six months now—and that allies of former GOP presidential hopeful Marco Rubio were involved in spreading the smears.
For months and months, anti-Cruz operatives have pitched a variety of #CruzSexScandal stories to a host of prominent national publications, according to Republican operatives and media figures. The New York Times, The Washington Post, Bloomberg News, Politico, and ABC News—reporters at all those outlets heard some version of the Cruz-is-cheating story. None of them decided to run with rumors. Those publications’ representatives all declined to provide on-the-record comments when The Daily Beast reached out for this article.

Breitbart News, the notoriously Trump-friendly conservative outlet, was also pitched the story of Cruz’s extramarital affairs, according to a source close to the publication. That source said an operative allied with Marco Rubio—but not associated with his official campaign—showed the publication a compilation video of Cruz and a woman other than his wife coming out of the Capitol Grille restaurant and a hotel on Tuesdays and Thursdays. But the outlet opted not to report on the video, which demonstrated no direct evidence of an affair.
“We got it from a Rubio ally,” said the source. “It was too thin, so [Breitbart’s Washington political editor Matt Boyle] decided not to run it. There was no way to verify the claims.”

A Rubio spokesman wasn’t immediately available for comment.

The Cruz campaign team has been aware of the sex-scandal rumors for months. But it took the National Enquirer’s report to force the story into the mainstream media conversation.

Why are rubio allies helping trump?

Mainly because its looking more and more like Trump is going to be the nominee for the Republicans, and it'd be really dumb of the Republicans not to get on the Trump train if they want to convince/manipulate Trump into pushing forward their shit bills.

There's still a good chance he wont be the nominee.

Trump's response.

"Well let me tell ya something Mean Gene! This hispanic son of a gun can get back over my wall and shove cocaine up his jabroni ass for all I care! And I have to ask him, WHAT YA GONNA DO, TED? WHEN TRUMPAMANIA AND ALL THE TRUMPAMANIACS RUN WILD ON YOU!!!!!"

Book it Vince, Wrestlemania is only a week away and it can't be anymore of a car wreck than this election.

Holy shit, 3500 USD to protest a Trump rally? Where do I send my CV?
Yeeeeeeeaaaaah, that's why this seems implausible. There have always been incidents where supporters/protestors get trucked in, but Trump's ideas are so good, his opponents must spend a king's ransom just to recruit protestors?

Edit: okay, I read the URL and now I understand. This is a hoax. It's the same site that produced the article claiming Scientology lost its tax exemption. abcnews.com is not affiliated with the American broadcasting corporation's news service. It intentionally uses the name to confuse readers.

Is Trump going to implement policies increasing freedom of speech protections on university campuses or is that just a fantasy of his young supporters

Jesus Christ, fucking Trump's actually endorsing nuclear proliferation as a means of resolving East Asian conflicts. And that's only one of his horrifying foreign policy specifications.

Whether or not this story is true it's currently gaining traction. If enough people will buy into it this will harm Cruz's campaign even if literally every single claim made by the National Inquirer is false.
I know we'll see lots of defenses for this, but if this story's true, it's absolutely something that should be marked against Cruz. Anyone who professes themselves a paragon of values they themselves only wipe their asses with shouldn't be trusted with shit.

Trump, and even Hillary, still outflank Cruz on the hypocrisy front. But we're fucked no matter which of them comes out on top, so none of it matters anyway aside from keeping the absolute worst possible candidate out of power.

Would Trump try to bring free speech back to america though assuming that he could? (free speech for white males)
Of course not. Trump has less respect for civil liberties than any other candidate running today. He has an extensive history of filing SLAPP suits to punish people for speaking out, and explicitly promised to open up our nation's anti-libel laws to make it easier to sue journalists and publications who write unflattering stories.

Trump touts the same contempt for free expression everyone justifiably hates SJWs for, he's just pushing an authoritarian agenda as an appeal to angry white men rather than an appeal to impotent white guilt.
