This is going to be sad, I can see the raping now:

a) they will 100% do Femshep, and probably make her some mixed race wahman so she can just be PARAGON yasss kweeen shaved side of the head and all

b) they will make the Quarian/Geth thing so over the top sucking off the inbred palestinian muzzies they will have Femshep do a full quarian call to prayer or whatever gay shit they try to allegorize

c) they will force Jacob into this show earlier and make him be the real star because black man

d) they will just make Gayden and Cortez butt buddies from the start just to make the lesbian asari faggot shippers happy online

e) Ashley Williams will be a mulatto butt but she'll clearly be marked "redeemed" by having her be initially xenophobic but become the most tolerant turian fucker out there, to show "deprogramming in this age of Drumpf"

f) If they use her at all and don't just make Cerberus Space MAGA, Miranda Lawson will be the only pure white person on the show to code her as 💯 evil and untrustworthy. And instead of getting her real face/voice actress to play her, they'll get some completely mid woman who doesn't wear a catsuit or have a good body to really ratchet up evil MAGA Karen.

and the main bad guy will be cerberus who is like the trump regime, and they will also have those terra firma guys as like low level baddie maga cultists types
ME3 kinda already did that. Cerberus went from pragmatic extremists who would would do anything to preserve humanity to cackling death cultists with utterly incomprehensible motives.

There's definitely going to be some kind of a tranny in there. "Oh Shepard, in the enlightened Ass-ari culture we were always practicing the enlightened practice of Seun On Deek. I was wrongfully called Liara at birth, but now I have embraced eternity my true self, and become Li-ar" :cryblood:

Honestly though, I'm not even mad. ME3 already more or less killed the franchise (not that ME2 was particularly good when it comes to the "main" story), so I'm looking forward to the trainwreck. Or one of the best sci-fi shows ever (LOL).

To be fair they were always kind of batshit considering how many dead Marines they were directly responsible for in ME1, on top of deciding the best way to deal with Admiral Kahoku's investigations into some of those dead Marines was to kill him and feed his body to some baby rachni. If you're a Sole Survivor it was their doing that lead to your entire unit getting wiped out on Akuze just because they were curious about what thresher maws could do.

Cerberus is what is required by different writers in different games. They're utterly incoherent.

Cerberus in ME1 is the human enemy faction needed for variety in sidequests.
Cerberus in ME2 is a few hundred strong at best cell-based organization with questionable morals but with Good People Inside.
Cerberus in ME3 is a galactic army stronger than several alien civilizations put together with warships, mechas an' shit

It's better not to think too hard about it.

They may not have a troon character but they will certainly have a troon or pooner in the cast. I bet over half the cast are non binary faggots.

According to Bioware, it is set after the events of the original trilogy, and doesn't involve Shepard.
The writers room is going strong, and we’ve got a lot figured out about how it fits within the Mass Effect canon, and where it sits in respect to the new game. The show will explore a brand-new story within the universe’s timeline, and will be set after the original trilogy. It won’t be a retread of Commander Shepard’s story – because after all … that’s YOUR story, isn’t it?

TIL we have a Mass Effect thread…
Remember genociding Batarians is something Paragon Shepard would do.
Behold, a full Paragon Shepard explaining his feelings on the Batarians.

Always remember to play Colonist/Ruthless for Total Batarian Death.

Still mad that they didn't hire Ronald D. Moore for Mass Effect.

Sure, Mass Effect was inspired by Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica, who Ronald D. Moore wrote for, but come on.

My only hope is that they'll make it center around events that precedes the series instead of re-telling the story of the games.

I recently replayed the trilogy and I was taken aback how much stuff was lifted from Farscape as well. A race of blue females that reproduce by touch?

Some episodes and dialogues are so painfully ME-like it borders on ME being plagiarism

If you're hungry for some quality ME-like media, watch Farscape

They really were just cribbing off whatever was on TV at the time. I made a post about it earlier in this thread but they lift a ton of stuff from one of the Stargate spinoffs, of all things, right down to the main character having the same name and military pay grade. It explains why the Reapers' motives are stupid as well - the idea of an ancient race of monsters that lays dormant for long periods to let the galaxy repopulate before awakening to harvest them comes directly from SG:A but it made a lot more sense in that show because the Wraith are space vampires that feed on intelligent life, so their motives are pretty obvious and logical.

Yep it's mostly inspired by Babylon 5, BSG and Stargate Atlantis.
I need to actually finish B5, but yeah clearly that's where they got the "humans are upstart newcomers that managed to win a war against one of the Galaxy's biggest powers" plot hook from.
