A lot of these journalism sites share their opinions and shit with each other. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a consensus to just shit all over ME:A because it was just that bad, no matter how much SJW love it gets. Because it is just that bad and they are struggling with credibility, so for once they need to call a horse a horse.

Lies, Deadly Premonition was beautiful start to finish.

Also, Bioware was ready for the corpse pit after ME 3. This just confirms it. EA should stick to FPS franchises.

I don't think their fanbase is enough to get the numbers EA wants. And I don't think EA expects those numbers either, they aren't exactly hiding it and they are going for the full multiplayer microtransaction route (even encouraging you to jump into MP when you are playing SP). You can send your strike force out which has a percentage of success or failure, or you can jump in yourself. Which will save your game and allow you to take control.

That's an in-game shot? I thought at first they were figures. That's really bad. Like inexcusably bad. Anyway, tumblr is already shipping the black guy with their horrible, vitiligo ridden MCs. I wonder if the character creator allows for vitiligo.

Obviously, its how most games are shipped these days, in a late beta format, while they work on trying to get the game to a finished state over the next 6 months before the contract is up.
 
This makes me sad. While BioWare's slide into waspish SJW-ism was dispiriting, I'd always rather have a good science fiction RPG on the market than a crappy one ... and there was always the dim hope BioWare itself might turn things around one way or another. But man, if the reviews continue in this vein, they're cooked.

[Games need] a fast-forward button. Games almost always include a way to 'button through' dialog without paying attention, because they understand that some players don't enjoy listening to dialog and they don't want to stop their fun. Yet they persist in practically coming into your living room and forcing you to play through the combats even if you're a player who only enjoys the dialog.


You know what else would be good? I wish I could read books but without actually having to read any of the words. I would like to just open the book and have a video play so I don't have to read anything.

Warms my heart to know this game is as shit as everyone's been saying. I like to think this is their comeuppance for how they treated their fans after ME3's ending drama. Calling them ungrateful and saying they couldn't appreciate their genius ending was just so fucking arrogant.

I don't know about BioWare themselves, but the screeching jackoff who calls himself Film Crit Hulk went on at some length about how beautiful the ending was and how stupid Mass Effect fans were for not appreciating it. I didn't think the ending was the trainwreck most people did (with the caveat that by the time I played the game the Extended Cut was already out, so I only saw the original ending in YouTube clips after the fact), but that was the most over-the-top and obnoxious defense of it I'm aware of.
 
That and the pre-GobberGoop games media dogpiled on in defense of Bioware and gleefully called ME fans (and gamers in general) entitled for not liking the ending; the smugness and pretentiousness from them was awful. Like expecting an ending that made sense, was based on your actions and choices from the preceding games, and generally wasn't total dog shit was being entitled.

Bioware didn't bother to jump in and say "no hold up guys, our fans aren't any of those labels or blatant insults you're throwing at them at all" in any meaningful capacity. That pissed off even more fans.
 
So CC is shit and people are already throwing a fit about it. Guess I'm stuck with the ponytail again unless they actually follow through with a patch but I'm not holding my breath.
