Writer better not look at the comments section, they are not having it. Probably shouldn't have opened up with the fucking role queue argument again, I'd say get a better script, but "too many characters" is a pretty lousy one that the author came up with. Imagine the internal meltdown this person would have if they were handed Smash Ultimate or pretty much any MOBA on the market.

Among the side effects of Marvel Rivals has been the performative displays of "STOP GOONING" from Tumblr-esque people who are suddenly fans of the lady characters and react negatively to fanart or other portrayals of them. Especially with Magik. Shucks howdy, are certain kinds of people flipping out about her, "how dare you depict a character that's had a very saucy design as having a bared midriff and legs". They're all in self-made cuck cages freaking out over armies of gooners that exist in their heads and huffing and puffing about how they appreciate characters ethically and they have to "protect OUR girl."

If you read the whole ultimate Reed Richards turning into the Maker arc, it boils down into him being a butthurt incel who got turned down by his girlfriend after he proposed to her at the funeral of her father (great timing).
Then multiverse stuff happens.

I'm almost convinced to play it SOLELY because there's so many heroes and they're all OP as shit. I want people to die equally back and forth between roles, none of this "30 min rounds, 11 deaths" type of stalemate shit. We all know this is gonna become the new OW where people goon and jerk about their "main" and make it their social media pfp and buy all the skins and shit, so why not just lean into that? Keep the e-girl zoomer valorant aesthetic going, keep pumping out characters and maps, sit back and roll in wealth.

That said, kinda funny seeing the closet capesloppers come out in droves and demand the most basic of characters like Cyclops. "Who the fuck wants Guile for the 500th time? Oh, a lot of people do, cause they're afraid of a world without their generic white man #3"
