As Jonathan Majors’ situation keeps getting worse by the day, the folks over at Disney and Marvel have a very important decision to make: will they keep the guy or replace him?

Majors plays Kang the Conqueror, the major villain of the current MCU and someone who will be central in connecting the dots towards the next two Avengers movies.

Majors was one of the industry’s rising stars and the most exciting recent addition to the MCU. But now he’s been accused of domestic abuse. The matter isn’t going anywhere. The Southern District of New York are very much going to pursue this case and it’ll take months, if not more than a year, before the process concludes.

The actor’s Kang the Conqueror was nowhere to be found in a recent promo hyping the upcoming VOD and digital release of ‘Quantamania.’ They’ve completely erased him from all the promotional material.
There are now reports that Marvel met Majos’ representatives after his arrest — the matter was to “discuss options” about his future with the company. It’s still unclear how the recent arrest and allegations made against him will impact his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

All options are currently open as to what Majors’ fate might be. I’m willing to bet that Marvel is waiting it out to see just how bad his legal troubles could get.

Jeff Sneider is saying that all options are currently open as to what Majors’ fate might be.

“I’ve heard that Marvel hasn’t made any decisions regarding Jonathan Majors but they’ve met with or spoken to his agent to discuss potential options going forward.”
Kang the Conqueror is supposed to show up in multiple MCU projects and has already appeared in both the first season of “Loki” and most recently in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.”

Marvel boss, Kevin Feige, banked his next phase of MCU movies on Majors. Phase five of the MCU was supposed to end with two big Avengers instalments, set for release in 2025 and 2026 — with Majors playing the central antagonist in both of those movies.

You can bet Marvel’s stock is on shaky grounds at the moment. This is, to put it mildly, not a fun situation for Feige, Disney and company.

I kang breathe….

Didn't the woman retract her accusation? Or did she change her mind yet again? Things like this make me wonder why, in this day and age, all young hollywood men don't just go full Henry Cavill, go deep in some nerd shit for their own enjoyment instead of fucking around with every woman they see and risking their careers.

Lol. Welp. He and Michelle Pfeiffer were the best parts of the damn thing. RIP i guess

>his name is Kang
Please be fake, this is too funny to be true.
For the record, I don't actually believe he ooga-booga'd anyone until I see something of substance proving he did.

Can't Marvel Studios just recast Kang, you know, like how Edward Norton was replaced by Mark Ruffalo in the MCU?

I think Marvel not recasting T'challa was a terrible precedent, considering that unfortunate things can happen to actors but the characters are not the actors.

Yeah but the evidence apparently proves the assault, and his lawyer bafflingly released some texts between Majors and the woman that made her seem like a desperate battered wife trying to cover for her abusive husband. It hurt his case way more than it ever could have helped.

they already recasted terrence howard, but that was before the sequel even started filming.
terrence howard also wasn't front and center as the main character.
that's the same reason they are keeping ezra miller for now.
it would cost a fortune to reshoot with a new actor.
now whether they recast with a new actor for the sequel is something else.

And he was supposed to be the big deal that would save the Marvel movies... not anymore. If anything, Marvel has really fucked up by trying to adopt the comic line that effectively killed off the comic book market in the US. Made worse when there are afar better stories they they could have adapted.

This is where agenda over profits really hurt.

While I can't stand lying whores who ruin lives and get little to no punishments (or she could be telling the truth and disney is siccing whatever jew lawyers can shut her up quick), I find it lulzy a wrench was thrown in disney's plans to get a chocolate cashcow twice. The first being Chadwick Boseman's black panther but cancer sucks and all those negresses couldn't hack it without him.

They could but probably can't due to all their pandering grandstanding bullshit for minorities. Same reason ezra miller is still the fucking Flash despite his schitzo pedo antics. Let them learn easy lessons the hard way. It's way more interesting than capeshit. 🚬

Replacing all actors with AI generated pixels is becoming more and more attractive every day.
Never having to worry again "what if faggot actor does some stupid shit that will tank the movie", nah, pixels
are safe, they never do shit off screen. They never cause controversies.

They did it with War Machine too, so it shouldn’t be that much of a problem. Or just get rid of this all together and just start with a Galactus story arc.

Agreed. I'm still astonished they didn't recast Black Panther, but noooooo we gotta have stronk independent black woman to fight Wetback Namor. Christ.

Didn't Miller's schizo/pedo/cult leader stuff kick off after initial shooting had already wrapped on the Flash? Before that movie started filming, the only scandal of his I recall was choking out someone accosting him in NYC. Even though I'm sure they all love his gender bending nonsense, sunk cost was probably the bigger factor in him being in the movie (and it coming out almost assuredly dead on arrival this summer).

There was an incident in Iceland where he was filmed choking a bitch out in a club that was before, or right around the beginning of shooting. The arrests in Hawaii, the alledged grooming and all the Vermont shit also happened after. I can sort of understand why DC tried to power through given they're already a couple of hundred million in the hole, and a couple of years behind schedule. What I can't understand is the reports that since Gunn took over the DCEU, he's apparently considering keeping Miller on, because he's kept his head down, and supposedly started therapy and shit. Even if that's true, I don't see why you'd risk him going off the deep end again, especially given the Flash is a shit character no-one cares about, and Miller is a shit actor no-one cares about either. Seems like it's just asking for fucking trouble imo.

Boseman has said that he wanted the character T’Challa to be recast and continue after him, his family said to recast, but I am convinced that they didn’t so that (A) they could capitalize on his in-universe funeral for easy emotion $$$, and (B) because he was always going to be sidelined for the Strong Female Characters so him actually dying didn’t change much of the story.

As far as Majors goes, the concept of a multiverse is supposed to give Marvel an easy out, except that they already showed the Council of Kangs is made up of Majors in every single universe, just wearing different clothes.
