They should've announced Mario Kart Generals as the new RTS battle mode

Free Roam mode looks 100% legit and packed with secrets and challenges. If it has or eventually has a more solid story mode or something like Diddy Kong Racing, it will be incredible.

Pretty thorough discussion of the mechanics in the new Mario Kart. Of course Nintendo had retard assist on for their demo but still some great info.

Snaking may be dead. But it may just be assist mode blocking it.

Pretty much what I expected... rather than make a new racing game, they just stuck mario and co. in this one and expected it to work because "it's a racer" even though all racers are fundamentally different from each other.

I tried to play Double-Dash for the first time in at least a decade and have completely lost my knack for that game.

Same thijg happened with Diddy Kong Racing. I know I used to be good at both. But those days are gone.

Honestly, I see no point in being "good" at Mario Kart, it's a party game. And no matter how good you are Mario Kart, everyone can get "Mario Kart'd" regardless of skill. Are you having fun is the most important question.

Well that's just crazy. Sure, you can get blown up on the last turn of the final lap.

But if you are half a lap ahead of your scrub friends, what does it matter?
