Ok wow. Punching and choking privates who fuck up is just part of training but just taking a private and locking him in a drier until he renounces his faith has never been an accepted part of any training regime I can think of.

This is the most amazing article of all time.

Among other things, he taunted the Muslims as “terrorists” or “ISIS” and ordered two of them to climb into an industrial clothes dryer, spinning one of them around in the scorching machine until he renounced his faith, the jury decided.

Sergeant Felix was found guilty as well of ordering Lance Corporal Bourmeche to simulate chopping off the head of a fellow Marine while reciting “God is great” in Arabic.

I demand he be released and given a Principal's position in Chiraq while wearing a body camera so filming of the non-fiction version of The Substitute can begin at once.

If he renounced his faith it was hardly that important to him anyway

Only insecure faggots who want to play dress-up and fight the lava monster join the marines.

That's been out of fashion for at least 25 years. But making privates embarrass the fuck out of themselves is still cool (as long as it's not about race, religion, etc).

You will never forget to untie your ogden cord again after you get slugged by a tiny Salvadoran. That's all I have to say about it.

I don’t think the drill sergeant did anything wrong.

When you’re a drill sergeant, you need to break the recruits, weed out the thrill-seekers and Jaces of the world, and make them willing to listen to orders and be a cohesive unit.

That’s why Gunnery Sergeant Hartman goes after Private Pile’s weight, Snowball’s color, and Joker being from Texas. It sounds like torture, but take something somebody prizes or loathes about themselves and that’s useful for breaking them down.

Plus, if this guy was more loyal to Islam and the Ummah, the international community of Muslims, then he shouldn’t belong to the marines, at least in combat positions.

Drill instructors degrade you on your glasses, parents, if you stutter, whatever. It's their job to break you. Obviously the dryer is the only abuse in this case.

If you're going to be a big baby over having Allah mocked, go join ISIS.

Recruits aren't "broken down", they're taught to conform, jump when told, and give the appearance of buying into the system. The only kids being broken are the brats whose daddy was a colonel, and have no notion of how to be a nobody. Going from crying in the rain to Born Again Hard is a Hollywood thing.

You're supposed to fuck with them, not literally kill them.

There are a distressing number of people who watch A Few Good Men and are convinced that Jessop was the good guy, and the bad guys were the courts and bureaucracy that stopped him. Washing out a substandard recruit does not require killing them by inducing a mental breakdown.
