I didn't see anyone answer you yet, but yes. For every objection the joint session will withdraw. The members of the House and Senate will go into separate areas to debate the objection for at most 2 hours before the joint session reconvenes and the final determination is presented.

In short, this will go on all fucking day into the night and it is not being sped up by the protestors trying to storm the building.
