Simon jenkins at the Guardian had an article out before the bodies were cold calling for 'patience and restraint' to avoid a backlash and condemming rolling news coverage as 'inflammatory'.

Restraint? In the sense of proportionality and making sure the response actually hits the guilty and not the innocent? Probably. Patience? What the fuck crack is he smoking?

Also, look at the front page of the newspaper he's talking this shit in. Hypocritical as fuck since he's part of the very media establishment doing exactly what he's condemning.

The is the same individual who advocated dealing with the Paris attacks with 'quiet contempt'. To their credit his commetariat are showing him anything but.

The weaselly wee apeaser threw in the usual whataboutery about dresden. He makes me sick.

Simon wont admit it but that article is on the same contunity as tweeting 'gas the Muslims' and 'burn down the mosques' 10 minutes after the attack happened.

Opertunism is great init?

If an attack like this happens in the US within the next few months, Trump becomes a lock to win the presidency. *sigh*

I have to wonder about the strategic logic behind these attacks. Daeesh is on the back foot so they gain nothing from provoking the EU. Could they really be this desperate to boost the number of volunteers coming in from Europe?

Several incidents where the attackers professed allegiance to IS were actually carried out by people who were only marginally linked to the group. Amedy Coulibaly never set foot in Syria. The same goes for the San Bernadino shooters, who seemed to have been radicalised completely independently.

Goddamnit, I wake up to this. *sigh*
Christ, what else is there to say? Be alert people, I wouldn't count out follow up attacks, like the San Bernardino attacks that came right after Paris.

Theoretically they could find more evidence of a connection in the iPhone data the DoJ was trying to force Apple to decrypt (which they now claim they can do on their own). I seriously doubt they will, though.

Seems pretty likely the current attack is directly connected to the same Daeshbags responsible for Paris, perhaps on a stepped up schedule because of Abdeslam's arrest.

The Grauniard is a shit newspaper and people should stop pretending it has any weight, or give it any clicks.

The Daily Mail is more professional and has more integrity than the fucking Graun

It's going to keep happening.

US/EU forces have basically spent the last twenty years or so bombing the shit out of the middle east, for whatever reason tickled their fancy at the moment. There are two generations of people who have known nothing but occupation, and bombs falling from the skies. They grew up with it, watching people they cared about die, and now that they're old enough to pick up an AK-47, they're going to do something about it.

This breeds a level of hatred the West can barely understand, let alone deal with.

Oh please.

There are tons of studies that show terrorists come from mainly middle and upper class backgrounds, with at least a college education. If you look at the upper strata of terror groups its always guys who were loaded, went to University and never suffered hardship in their lives.

The poor and uneducated masses in the Middle-East are less supportive of terrorism and killing innocent civilians as those others do. It's those who come from backgrounds where they grew up with ease and had time to sit around getting radicalized in college that support it the most. Terrorists are basically the SJWs of Islam, but you know, the deadly murderous kind.

Islam is the problem. The West is not the cause of it. Anyone who has studied the history of Islamic imperialism can see clearly that this has been going on literally since Muhammed tried to convince people the voices he was hearing were heavenly and he started his career ambushing caravans and waging guerrilla warfare on cities and slaughtering their civilians.

Looks like death toll's up to 34, supposedly, with 170+ injured.

EDIT: now they're saying 28 confirmed dead with 166 injured.

@The Knife's Husbando has a point, but that doesn't make the attacks any less shitty or even justified. All those that died were just regular people catching the train to work or just going about their day.

One thing I found interesting was that Fox News, unsurprisingly, was quick to jump on Obama for refusing to act. . .when he was literally in the middle of a speech in Cuba at the time.

ISIS just took credit. Surprise, surprise.
