A Pennsylvania man was ejected from Saturday's Philadelphia Eagles game after he assaulted a police horse when leaving the stadium.

Taylor Hendricks, 22, was removed from Lincoln Financial Field before the start of the Eagles' NFL playoff game against the Atlanta Falcons by stadium personnel who said he arrived intoxicated and was unable to produce a ticket.

"After the male was ejected he walked over to a mounted officer and began punching their horse in the face." the Philadelphia Police Department said in a statement to CBS News. The department said the officer who was riding the horse was also struck in the legs during the incident.

Hendricks was charged with assault of law enforcement officer, cruelty to animals and aggravated assault, police said.

Court records indicate Hendricks was released after posting 10 percent of a $5,000 bail. A plea has not been entered in the case and he is next scheduled to appear on Jan. 30.

All horses are waiting patiently for the opportune moment to kill someone and make it look like an accident, so this was an act of self defense.

Is the horse alright?

I hope so. The article doesn't say that the horse was injured. But it can't be too happy about being assaulted by a drunken idiot.

When the Eagles do well it brings out all the drunken exceptionals. I guess he wanted to see the game in person, had no ticket and got too drunk to realise that wasn't going to work. So he takes it out on a horse.

Right in the face is the dumbest place to try and punch a horse. Some of if not THE thickest bones on the body are the front of the skull, knew a guy who broke his knuckle doing that.

Smart move is to backhand them across the nose, that's nothing but skin and soft tissue, won't do any damage but will cause them some actual discomfort. It's the only place to really affect a horse with your bare hands, a lady I knew who trained horses cured one's biting habit by grabbing its lower lip, turning it inside out and biting BACK, it never bothered her again.

Why the fuck would you want to harass a massive fucking animal with metal secured to the parts of their body they use to defend themselves with? Even if they weren't shod a kick from a horse to the head can cave in your skull.

He's lucky the horse didn't decide to bite him- I've seen people get their fingers bitten off that way.
