The Malfoid content is making me consider playing Hogwarts Legacy. I’ve always really enjoyed Harry Potter and have wanted a major Harry Potter game that isn’t Lego (played those to death), but I wasn’t enthralled by the concept of “Harry Potter game but there is no Harry Potter or any character you recognize, care about these 19th-century randos instead.” Is the gameplay fun? Is there merit to it other than making the trannies seethe by playing it? Is it just a different flavor of woke?

Wife played it, the combat is allegedly pretty shallow and there are a lot of random fetch quests but you don't mind because exploring the grounds and castle is the best part, all the environments are very well done.

It's slop, but you might find it fun. I remember there being almost no choices at all, and that there was no way to play as a blood purist. Also, there is this random NIGGER character who will tell you all about how African magic schools are 100000% better than Hogwarts, and that the Europeans are backwards barbaric racist idiots. The game also doesn't know how to react to your behavior. If you start going around killing students, it doesn't do shit about it.

There's a wizard school in America and you're telling me the CIA didn't use any of them in the Cold War? "But they hid the school with MaGiC!!!" Fuck right off with that bullshit. You ain't hiding a whole fucking school from a KH-11 or the CIA of the 1950s.
Who says they didn’t and who says the CIA hasn’t been using them?

I take it you really want a wizard waifu that glows in the dark.

Perfectly understandable.

I post pictures and videos of people getting blown up and shot day in and day out in Happenings, I need something cute and whimsical or else I'd go full Pvt. Pyle from Full Metal Jacket.

"... and some nights I still hear the screams, but I also smell that magical muggle "gasoline". You know what, you remind me of myself, I will overlook this transgression for once. Under one condition, keep an eye out on that Weasley boy Ron and Potter, I think he has something to do with those missing Hufflepuff girls, I just have a feeling about it..."

Also on another note isnt it also explained that because the wizard population is so small that all of the sacred 28 are distant relatives? I seem to remember that Molly's side is related to Narcissa Black? Given that the Potters and Peverells are old wouldnt Harry be a distant relative of Malfoid? Maybe closer since his grandmother's maiden name is unknown. Food for thought.
If the purebloods are anything like ye olde nobility (and that does seem to be the case given how big of a deal inbreeding was & its deleterious effects being shown in families like the Gaunts), then everyone being related to everyone else at some level is pretty much inevitable. That said, according to the HP wiki (and I'm not aware of any information from the books that would contradict this) although the Potters are related to some other pureblood families, the Malfoys are conspicuously not one of them; at most it might be the case that they're distantly and indirectly related (ex. a Malfoy daughter married a Prewett son once and their daughter married Harry's 10x-removed-great-grandpa back when the Plantagenets still ruled England or something). This was how even Harry & Voldemort themselves are related BTW (both the Potters & Gaunts married at least one Peverell).

The Potters were related to the Peverell, Fleamont, Black, Evans, Dursley, and Weasley families, and more distantly to the Gaunt, Riddle, Flint, Bulstrode, Crabbe, Prewett, Delacour, Johnson, Granger and Granger-Weasley families. It is unknown who the family was related to through the American branch.

I think the early medieval Catholic standard for royal/noble intermarriage was that you were cool if you're at least 7 degrees removed from your spouse, and I imagine (based on the above information) that that would be the absolute minimum degree of separation between Harry & Malfoid too. Incidentally, family-wise it also turns out that the Potters are of based Tolkien-approved Anglo-Saxon heritage if the name of their founder, Linfred, and his son Hardwin are any indicator (-fred and -win endings to their first names are of Saxon origin, ex. Alfred or Godwin) while the Malfoys are explicitly, canonically Normans whose own founder Armand was part of Bill the Bastard's army. They've been on opposite sides pretty much from the founding of modern England, and thus even less likely to have intermarried often throughout history.

When Malfoid rejects the Angloid and falls in love with a student from the American wizarding school. Is there an American version of Hogwarts in Harry Potter and are they actually wizards or are they just Muggles with guns and the Angloids think they're magic because guns are illegal in the UK? *insert Harry Potter copypasta about guns and .45ACP here.*
The American Hogwarts is called Ilvermorny. They also have their own shadow Congress (but it only has one house, no Senate) to mirror both the US Congress and Wizarding Britain's Ministry. Apparently the American side of the Wizarding World is more relevant in the Fantastic Beasts films, but by the time those came out I had checked out of HP for the most part, so I couldn't tell you much more about them that you wouldn't be able to find in the HP Wiki articles.

All the whinging, comes across as this:

How DARE people have fun, how DARE they make non cathedral approved art that isn't homosexual slop! Idk nigga, maybe you shouldn't have abandoned Harry Potter for titty skittles.

They're not just mad that people are having fun. They're mad because people are having fun with what used to be THEIR toys. "They're can't do that! Those are MY toys, even though I publically said many times I don't want them anymore! They're still MY toys and they're having fun with them in ways I DON'T LIKE!" It's so pathetic and petty.

The American wizarding lore is so gay and it reads like a Eurocrat's view of American society
Apparently there are "wand permits" (read: firearm permits) in America (but not Europe for some reason???)
There's a wizard law in America that separated wizards from muggles- basically Jim Crow laws for wizards- that got repealed during the civil rights era.
speaking of muggles, apparently they call them "Nomaj's" in the states, dont ask me why.
Ilvermorny is literally just a copy of Hogwarts but in America. That's it. There's nothing else interesting about it; it's literally a carbon copy of Hogwarts put into New England. Theres even four houses you get sorted into.
