It is interesting how many traits that make Draco unlikeable and pathetic turn cute if the character is a girl.

"my father will hear about this" Pathetic, hiding behind his father's station.
For Malfoid, she is a daddy's girl. Cute.

Would also make her more sympathetic in books 6 and 7.

I actually have to agree with the memes, Malfoid would make the books better.

Also, Ginny was worst girl, it would fix that too.

I’ve been finding that I’m taking this mythic idea that a male protagonist being partially defined by the woman he loves much more seriously and it’s exposing a lot of important things I overlooked

In the Frontlines series by Marko Kloos the protagonist and his love interest get the romance part done pretty quickly and through most of the series it has a very realistic depiction of two spouses in the military as their careers progress through an interstellar war for humanity's very survival.

Would highly recommend that series.
