The old LJ Harry Potter fandom was the thing that first came to mind when I saw/heard about Malfoid, funnily enough. Friend of mine was heavily into that part of LJ back when the books were still coming out and yeah, genderswap fanfics were incredibly common and there was all sorts of slapfights over them. It was massively overshadowed by the insanity of the Snapewives, and, of course, LJ drama was how ED originally spawned out of GirlVinyl's gaping maw. So yeah, this is actually wonderfully nostalgic for me on many levels even though I always thought Harry Potter was incredibly overrated and the adult fans were obnoxious pieces of shit by and large. Malfoid is adorable.

Also fuck yeah for the Salt Mines being back!

they literally already did that with spiderfoid and a number of other normal non-genderswapped female characters. The only eason malfoid hasn't had that yet in a significant amount is due to the performative harry potter/rowling hate splintering the troons into multiple camps.

Yeah, I've seen a couple of troons try that shit by trying to "make Malfoid trans" (which is little more than just Malfoid holding a trans flag or some shit), but it's really not getting anywhere because they don't have broad support for it from normies, as well as pushback from other troons who feel any sorta interaction with HP stuff is haram. Also, unlike the whole Petra Parker stuff where they kinda jumped in early to steer the meme their way, here, they only jumped in later as a reaction when it was clear people weren't gonna listen to their "Malfoid bad because Oberkommando Rowling causing troon genocide!" bullshit. Similar thing with Bowsette, where the troons jumped in too late to make people consider Bowsette "trans" or anything.

Gender swapping characters has been done for fuckin' centuries in one form or another, usually to hide the accomplishments of female leaders in antiquity really but just like everything else they try to act like they made it just like they did with the LGBT by acting like they're the damned figureheads and spokespersons of people who don't know they exist while doing nothing but making them all look bad with their retarded behavior and open degeneracy which is a big part of the reason there's a rapidly growing number of gays bisexuals and lesbians who want to ax the Ts and Qs.

To be fair to him, he's more or less complaining about J.K. Rowling's lazy world-building. China, India, and Pakistan (who all hate each other) share the same magic school supposedly. Australia and all of South East Asia also go to the same magic school. It's possible for Rowling to show that these eleven magic schools are like the wizarding world's equivalent to the Ivy League or elite boarding schools which would make it understandable. If I were the writer of Harry Potter, I would certainly show a minor wizarding school practicing localized folk magic with 30-40 students or less. Maybe the character would learn a thing or two from these people that could come in handy later in the book or even the series, or it could be used for character development.

But that's my personal opinion on the matter.
