Sell your gamer skills on ePal or join Fiver and complete small tasks for people around the world.
ePal is a website that used to be called "eGirl" but male users were acting bitchy and now the site has to be inclusive of men. It's basically the longtime joke of "hiring someone to play video games with" made real. You set your game, rates, and your hours.
I did it for a while in which I sold my services for Final Fantasy XIV as an extra for raids or ferrying newbies through the game with short queue times (which is no longer needed due to recent additions of AI parties).
I sometimes like to make money by repairing small electronics like Nintendo 3DS and phones. Nothing complicated like reballing chips, just little things like replacing screens or other components.
Just because a place has a "now hiring" sign doesnt mean they're actually actively hiring. It's fucked, I know. Retail places just don't remove the hiring signs because of high turnover rate, so maybe they really need someone. Best just checking their job listings online or asking a manager inside.
Best time to get hired for retail is right during back to school due to the holidays and increased instore or online orders. Seasonals dont often get hired fulltime, but it's good resume filler. Never put your weekends as unavailable if you want to get hired on seasonal positions because those are the busiest days they need help.
