@Sanic those are some nice boots. Are they over-the-knee? I bought these Fryes a couple years ago when I still worked at a department store and thus received a generous discount.

They actually go over my knee, unlike some other brands. :heart-full:

EDIT: I MEANT @rocket there's so many sanic avatars and I can't remember faces and (:_(

Damn, clothes are expensive. Good quality, though.

Shoes especially. I have an embarassingly GRAND number of shoes but quality materials last so much longer than cheap ones. From my employee + clearance discount my over-the-knee Frye boots were around $200. I've had mine coming up on two years and even after my senior cat had an accident on them (and went unnoticed for a while) I was able to clean it and get them smelling like leather again.

The fact that rocket's pair is all leather as opposed to that stretchy fabric in back is awesome. It will wear so much better

It makes my heart :heart-empty: when I see people walking in shoes that need repair. I'm not talking your payless throwaway shoes but brands like Tory Burch and Ferragamo. I've got a couple pairs I need to take to the cobbler for new soles.

Shoes are one thing in life that are definitely worth saving up for and splurging on. I don't mean like a $600 pair of Louboutin heels (you're basically just paying for a brand name at that point), but a few hundred for a pair of sturdy leather boots that will actually last a year years versus thirty bucks for a Walmart pair that will fall apart after half a season? It's worth an investment.

I've had pretty good success with this pair. I expect to get another couple years out of them for sure:

Sound advice. I bought a pair of leather boots this past weekend, but I had to buy the men's style because of my wide honking feet. To be fair, ladies, a lot of the men's styles are identical to women's and fifty bucks cheaper.

@applecat, those colors are great. I love coral polishes so much and I just culled a bunch from my polish drawer for being cheap dupes of nicer ones I ended up with or being completely gunky and dried out. Do you use a specific topcoat? I ended up falling in love with Seche Vite because I'm massively impatient and always manage to fuck up one nail otherwise. I've gotten my application down to a science so I don't end up with an entire nail peeling off the next day.

Shoes are seriously my vice, though. I met Christian Louboutin at a shoe signing many years back. I have to wonder if sticker shock is still a thing to me after working for LV for a year too. :tugboat:

I snagged some fantastic Dan Post cowboy boots at Thrift Town a few years ago. They're part Tegu lizard and leather and now that the heatwave passed I'm so excited to wear them.

Pacifica is having an online sale right now. Its vegan lipstick was my first proper lipstick I've ever worn, and people say I look pretty with lipstick on. But I need to save money for the Christmas presents/school textbooks/life in general hnghhh... If only I were ForeverKailyn and could spend copious amounts of money on everything and not give any damns. *sigh*

I've never heard of them before but I'm liking their packaging and especially that it's recyclable. I'm always super hesitant to buy colors I've never tried online, even if the site has a good return policy because I feel like a shit for trying something and returning it even if they allow it. *sigh*

Pacifica products are sold at Target, Ulta, and Whole Foods, if you have any of those stores near you. The one Pacifica lipstick I got was from an eco-friendly beauty subscription box I have. I've been trying to find swatches of all the lipstick colors, but with very limited success. This is the best info I could find: a review of the bright red color.
