I really want to get myself a shiny new eyeshadow palette and I'm having a really difficult time choosing between this and this. I have green eyes and they tend to match better with plum/magenta colors than anything else, and these two have some really nice shades. I wish I wasn't poor or I would get both. :heart-empty:

It's hard to say because tarte is such a good company but I feel like you might get more use out of the other one. I have green eyes too - you might also do well with dark purple eyeliner and brown shadow, just you know, as a fun way to mix things up.

does anyone here use an epilator and how do I reduce the feeling of electric shock and bleeding every time I use it

I would suggest first trimming and shaving the hair so it's short and evened out when it grows out. Then epilate the hairs as they grow out a few millimeters so the epilator can grab the hairs. Unfortunately when you epilate coarse hairs, the only thing to do for the pain is get accustomed to it by regularly epilating. :(

I've also heard the suggestion to take oral OTC pain relievers before waxing to reduce the pain. This may apply to epilation as well since both involve ripping out the hairs.

I don't know anyone else with green eyes! It's so weird. I do really like the Jupiter Ascending set because the colors are more pronounced, but I was kind of excited by the highlighter/bronzer/blush with the Tarte compact. Oh well. I'll choose one and maybe ulta or sephora will send me a coupon or something next month for my birthday. (Online promo codes are a way of life for me.)

I was just in sephora yesterday, and they had a TON of pallets on clearance, including the Sephora Princess Jasmine and a few Urban Decays. I think the stock would vary by store to store, but there was a pretty good variety where I was.

Thanks for the tip!

The bleeding seems to happen when hair follicles are being pulled out for the first time (at least in my experience, and depending on where you're trying to use the epilator). After a while, they don't bleed when they come out, though, and even the pain is a lot more bearable.

Still, the first several times are excruciating, so maybe you would benefit more from going to a professional and getting the area waxed a few times before maintaining it with an epilator. They might have better advice for managing the pain, anyway.

I painted my nails this color today:

Of course, I never painted them in

Plus, remind me that I need some nail polish pens if I ever want to do nail art, I wanted to make dragon quest slimes, but they turned out really, really crappy so I just decided to go solid. I could show you a picture of my nails if you want. I admit it's harder to paint myself than others and my hand isn't very steady.

My new necklace feels a lot like a tie, and I dig that.

also the struggle of taking a necklace photo without making it a gratuitous boob shot is real.
