Oh my god that's horrible, I hope your skin is feeling better! I have skin problems because of my climate and the extremely hard water, what helped me when my scalp was acting up was using Nizoral on my scalp and shampooing the ends of my hair with a different shampoo and it ended up going away. The hair oil is super nice too.
Oh, I'm fine now, thank you for your concern. The nice smell and pleasant to touch hair were absolutely worth a lil bit of suffering haha a bottle of Nizoral was a lifesaver
Perhaps, if you're open to trying new things, maybe something from Daviness would satisfy your hair? Their stuff worked amazingly even with hard water and is amazing at taming my puffy mess. They have different product lines. You should check them out!

Guys can I please gush about my favorite instagram model? Barinovael. It is COMPLETELY UNFAIR how gorgeous she is. She could wear a fucking burlap sack and look like a million bucks.

But her choices of fashion are just hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngh.

Okay femkiwis I need some advice. I have very long hair that I keep braided or up in some fashion to keep it out of my way when I'm doing things.
I have long hairs behind my ears (not my photo, but pic related).
My issue: I'm autistic as shit and the feeling of the hairs behind my ears drives me nuts, it's constantly getting in the way of my sport ear buds, sunglasses, etc. I wash my hair once a week and anytime I'm showering on a non hair wash day, they get wet which feels awful. I've tried cutting them short, but good god that's worse.
They just stick out no matter how clean my hair is and look ridiculous. They are not long enough to stay in any braid or ponytail I try to put them in (no matter how tight that upstyle is), and at their absolute longest, they were sitting at almost my mid neck point and still would not stay with the rest of my hair. I have tried using little clips/barrettes to no avail. The clips slip around and don't stay in one place, releasing satan's taint hairs to continue assaulting my ears. I do not currently have any bobbypins, but I presume that the issue will be the same with those. Using gel/hairspray every single day isn't really something I feel would work well, that requires way too much washing and my hair is a tad delicate to products.
How do you handle these hairs of satan's unwaxed asshole? Is there some secret I am unaware of? Is there a way to trim them that would keep them out of my way, without making me look like a retard that stuck a fork in a power outlet?
Any and all advice is welcome and greatly appreciated. TYIA

This very thing used to piss me off when I had very long hair. Also, the very untamable hair on the sides, those baby hairs upfront. I said fuck it and shaved the sides. I had a nice long thick dark blue death hawk for like 5 years. I miss it. I have since let my natural hair grow out so I can have fresh hair to bleach again. I have been debating on cutting it again. BUT that might not work for you. I do however, use hair oil to keep those hairs soft and I just deal. I use anti-humidity hair oil because i live in a humid area. It helps..... chop it off? You might be surprised with a new hair cut that you like. 265464ea1206dd833ada078d867cdc30.jpg
Pic is not me. But this is what i had going on without the tails around the ear. In my opinion mohawks look terrible when they are short.

I am unable to reply to or quote your post, but unfortunately a hair cut is simply out of the question lol. After someone I trusted mutilated my hair back in 2018/2019, it has been an arduous journey to get it back.
I think trimming them is really the only way, I am just unsure of the best method. Finances are tight, but I may have to surrender and go to a professional and see what they can do about.
I appreciate your take on the hair spawns of satan lol.

Ik this is not make up or clothes but ig is “girly stuff” :( the food board doesn’t seem to have relevant posts and I’m lost. Just got into baking and been making them from the mix. I’m quite excited to make some pie filling cupcakes!! From the can and box of course. Any suggestions or tips on how to make box mix better?

I’m really struggling to find clothes that fit and look nice. Everything is too long, all the shoulders are too broad. Worse, I’m middle aged and everything is either slutty polyester aimed at embryos or granny clothing . The high street shops I’m finding with petite sections are dowdy.
I want nice stuff. I will pay for it. I just want nice, well fitting petite clothing that’s mainly natural fibres. I want to look nice.
Help, my fellow lady kiwis. Give me suggestions of places to shop.
(Based on the old world side of the pond, uk or European shops are both fine.)
If you are in Europe, vinted can be really good. I only wear natural fibres and get amazing clothes from France on vinted for very little money. Most are designer and many are vintage of very high quality.

I am in a transitional stage with my weight and got a beautiful new wardrobe for less than 300 €. My workplace has a formal dress code, too. I did have to get some items dry cleaned before I would wear them so you might add that to your cost. The rest I hand washed.

I can never get my waterline to be black, at most its like light grey. What brands of eyeliner do you use (preferably pencil liners)
When I was in the States at a Sephora the sales person recommended the Urban Decay eyeliner pencil to me. I got this in black and have used it on my waterline and it stayed very true to its colour and lasted. I will buy this again.

You aren't going to like this answer but you will need to use a hair product. Lucky for you there are many more products than gel and hairspray now.

There is something called a smooth stick, which is like a wax stick. You apply it to the area and slick back your hair. There is also a product that comes in a mascara tube packaging but is for smaller areas.

You can try spraying hair spray on a toothbrush and brushing it over the hair. I used to do this. If there is humidity, you need a lot of hairspray, but I know you don't want to use this.

The benefit of a wax is it won't be affected by the humidity and will keep those hairs flat. If you use it sparingly, you shouldn't need to shampoo more. A hair oil might work, too.

By cutting those hairs, you are causing them to just stick up and be more obvious. So, try a wax stick or oil starting with just a bit and working up to see if this might work.

Hope this helps. Flyaways are the worst. I feel your pain.

So those short baby hairs are caused by breakage. Long term I would recommend using some sort of repair mask like Olaplex a couple times a week, brushing sparingly and only with a wetbrush, using a microfiber towel, minimizing heat tools, and most of all, avoid hairstyles that create heavy tension, like tight updos and pony tails. A French pin or claw clip will hold a majority of your hair pretty well without causing more breakage and switch out standard hair ties for silk scrunchies or invisibobbles.

I just need to shrilly scream about this somewhere. My university does occasional Op-Shop pop-ups, which typically have ridiculously good prices. One was running today... I just bought a designer jacket for $5AUD. FIVE FUCKING DOLLARS. IT FITS PERFECTLY AND ITS IN AMAZING QUALITY AND I'M GOBSMACKED!!!!!!! I MIGHT be God's favourite thrifter 8)

I saw this today and I really like it. Reverse image search gets me nothing. Anyone recognise?

What would you call this style? It’s a little bit military, a little bit Victorian and a little bit sort of vaguely dark gothic revival. And dark green. I like it a lot. I already have the gloves, I just love the jacket.

Try searching for a double breasted pea coat with cape sleeves or bell sleeves. Quality pea coats are usually wool

Nothing very similar comes up… I reverse image searched it and just for a load of Pinterest boards where the original had been pinned but no source… it’s so lovely, I wonder where it’s from?
