Late to the game but I never buy a skirt without researching thoroughly to determine the presence or absence of pockets. I always wondered why this wasn’t more of a ride or die thing with other people. But you’re right, actually using the pockets will make a stretchy or lightweight fabric sag and look kinda stupid.
So denim ftw.

Man, I'd love a denim skirt. The 90's revival of denim is a double edged sword.
There’s about a half dozen bangers on loft.com rn with glorious deep functional pockets.
Class it up with the proper accessories and go to town

I need advice.
I’ve had my head shaved or in a pixie cut for the better part of a decade. I’d like to attempt growing it out now, but every time I’ve tried in the past I’ve given up when it reaches the unkempt-looking, middle-area between being short and shoulder-length. Are there any hairstyles or ways to trim it that would make me look less like an autist that just doesn’t trim their hair? Thanks kiwis for any advice ♡

ive grown a buzzcut too without ever retouching it and honestly hairclips can really help; depending on which ones you buy it can look more cute/quirky or more genuinely stylish.

also hair band/scarves (not hijab lol! i mean the strip of cloth that you can tie around the hair) are super versatile and work very well because they cover part of the awkward hair growth.

once your hair is longer you wear it in styles like pony/pig tails or braids, though it will grow with layers so you might have to wait a bit. 2 simple braids is my personal favorite.

I'm not one to use hair gel but that could also help you if you want to pull off tidier looks or maybe get creative LOL.

eventually cut it and change hairstyles or let it be and keep letting it grow untouched.

There will be awkward stages, but as long as you style it right (not just by itself but also in relation to the outfit and everything) it doesn't have to look unkept, but instead sort of grungy and deliberately pseudo-messy, you know?;)

Obviously this all also hinges on your personal style and image you want to give off, but that's what I personally did! :heart-full:

Women of the Farms, I come bearing a question...

Do these things really do anything? I've seen them before and I was always curious if they helped with pores or some shit, or if they were just placebo magic astrology crystal thingamajigs

(Also bonus question, is it true you guys don't get pockets on a lot of your clothes? Because if so that's fucked up.)
Can't speak to the beauty benefits, but they're nice if you have a cold. Feels good to rub all over the sinuses and neck.

When my sister did this, she just went to the hairdresser every...I don't know, 6 or 8 weeks?...told her what she was trying to do, and the hairdresser knew how to take care of things. It's a common thing they deal with.

I hear this is among the reasons why it is worth it to pay real money for a good hairdresser. I mean, if you're a chick. I have some Vietnamese lady cut mine for $25.

Having a free Sephora online account means you get free shipping and two free samples of your choice with EVERY order. And other freebie offers if your order total is over a certain amount, depending on the offer. It’s magical.

I can’t wait to spend a shit ton of money trying to fix my split, dead end dry ass hair. I’m thinking Ouai, but I also don’t feel like spending $32 on a bottle of shampoo if I can help it.

I usually don't care about the Pocket Question a lot of feminists think is a big problem. Skirts and dresses don't tend to have them because it affects how they drape or the fabric maybe won't be strong enough to hold whatever the heck a customer will put in and demand a refund for when it rips the thing.
Late, but I've had plenty of dresses come with deep pockets, some nearly as big as plastic grocery bags. But I get all my clothes from thrift stores, so anything I find is completely random. As far as I can tell, pockets only matter on more skintight stuff. The kind of dresses I like are a bit longer and simpler, so it could be that as well.

The pants situation, however, is fucked up. It's one thing for a lot of women's pants to have fake pockets because "muh bulk", but there is no excuse for the fact that nearly all women's pants do this shit.

Get Giovanni argan and keratin shampoo and conditioner. It’s a godsend, and it’s under $15 per. I mean the split ends are what they are, but the argan oil in there makes them behave very nicely

How do some girls be managing to smell good all day? In such a strong way. I work at a factory and there's a couple of these girls who smell so nice all day, one of them is morbidly obese too.
I know about the Vaseline method where you spray perfume on your arm after rubbing Vaseline on it, but other than that I dunno. I use Bath & Body Works perfume, the Rose one in particular because it's my favorite scent. Would I need to upgrade? What's the magic secret? Lol.

Also what is the best shampoo for mixed, type 2 wavy hair? I've use Pantene's conditioner for the ends which works amazingly, but the core shampoo I am struggling with. My hair gets greasy easily in regards to the roots, often leaving me a greasy patch. Not to mention I struggle with dandruff on and off.
I wouldn't mind paying extra for high quality shampoo, though I don't wanna fall into the trap of shitty predatory marketing and getting something overpriced when a man's shampoo could do the same for less.

Bath and Body Works body mists smell good but they are so weak. When you're buying perfumes, if you want them to last all day, you need to look at what type of perfume it is and buy the ones that have a higher oil concentration:

Lots of the weaker and cheaper perfumes are Eau de Cologne and Eau de Toilette (EDT). Try to get EDP if possible. They are more expensive but you only need 1 or 2 sprays and the last all day, compared to body mists that you have to spray a ton of and it usually wears off after an hour or so. Wearing lotion under your perfume also makes it last longer.

As for shampoo, the best advice I got is ironically form a bald man. I've tried everything under the sun before I found his videos and highly recommend them. He has a very simple routine and never deviates from it, he hates influencers, does not have any sponsors, and says 95% of hair care products are worthless. He is passionate about it, actually he seems very autistic about hair care. I followed his advice and my hair has never looked or felt better:

On smelling good - lots of women, I discovered, top-up deodorant and spray throughout the day. Some friends also swear by deodorant lotion which is a bit easier to apply beyond your armpits. Since B&BW mists aren't too strong, I spray my clothes a little. Focus on your pulse points - your wrists, neck and inner elbows.

On shampoo - have you thought about how you wash your hair? I struggled hugely with greasy hair for years. I only condition the parts of my hair that aren't touching my scalp. I use a scalp brush when I am shampooing which has helped remove oil/dead skin/sweat. Head and Shoulders has come a long way, they have some really nice scents and they make a condition with argan oil that might be good for your waves. Neutrogena makes some very nice smelling coal tar shampoos. Maybe it's worth grabbing one to do a deep cleanse and then maintain with something more budget friendly.
