Absolute peak time for me is during prerelease events - after the sealed event everyone was wheeling and dealing with their pool. Then there'd be some rounds of of pack wars with prize packs and random booster boxes from the people who pre-ordered them, then more trading after that. No money involved, the store wouldn't even take trade-ins on pre-release day.

I'm normally a "look up the market price" kind of guy with no negotiating because I hate the feeling of ripping people off but on those nights I'd embrace my inner (((merchant))).

Haven't been to a prelease since Capenna but that wasn't THAT long ago.

My LGS shuttered during Amonkhet Block and nobody has ever bothered to open another.

I love the art on this piece, unironically. When women go enby (and it's almost always women doing that), it's usually for one of two reasons: either she's the most basic bitch imaginable and she's queering out in a desperate bid to be even slightly memorable, or she was molested as a kid and is queering out in a desperate bid to avoid her femininity. This art, with the stuffed animal, the cat, the robot with the soft and non-threatening face, so clearly shows a woman whose mental and emotional development arrested sometime in her tween years. It allows us to cleanly diagnose a case of "diddled by a male family member". It's great.

We're updating the rules of Commander so that any legendary card with a printed power and toughness can be your commander! That means legendary Vehicles and (in the case of this set) legendary Spacecrafts can helm your deck.

I'm salty they are not using Servos or Constructs. Robots? Really??? If there is not a robot secret lair featuring me (I guess Bender too) then this set is the worst ever!

So i got the FF secret lair cards today and if i can avoid it, i never want to go through the experience ever again. Queuing in a digital store and then when i get in almost everything is sold out. End it up buying the jap versions because those were the ones remaining and i can always use the practice on japanese.

Regarding the new rules for vehicle as commanders, not gonna lie, ill finally have a reason to pull out Parhelion 2 and make a mono white angel deck because i like the thematic. I like it and gives a new avenue to players to build new decks.
 
I’m not sure if WOTC has high or low confidence in this set because they’re printing shocks back into standard. Makes the racist lands from Drift better, but also means that standard is going to be even more of a mess.

Oh if they are printing shocks in a set that means the rest of the set is gonna fucking suck dick.

Also, if they fix the meta with mono red and everything, it might be fun to have some shocks in standard. I’d be down to try out standard again.

I have one binder I'm going to finish filling and then I'm out, too. Trying to collect Magic is so frustrating. I can't think of another company that works so hard to not take my money.

Kilo is rather easy to set up thanks to the new Starship mechanics and how WotC made it so that Starships and Vehicles can be your Commander now, which is rather stupid.

At least Allies get support now.

In their (limited) defense, I didn't see any one card that goes infinite with Kilo by itself.
