So is Volgavoth the new arch-villan? He really seems like the only interplanar threat at this point. He's really the only threatening thing on the board except for whatever Jace and Vraska are planning.

Living Energy has some unexpected reprints in there that'll probably kill the MSRP in your LGS and banger for a Artifact deck. There's a card in there that'll add a thopter with the artifact tokens that you'll produce. Now with the recent Ms. Nalaar that means a Thopter for each Jet for the Brown Girl Military Industrial Complex (or Kamala Harris' Presidency for short) now it won't be able to crew which is why the card also gives it +1/+1 so that's the most basic bitch combo in the deck. However there's Academy Ruins, Conjurer's Closet and a Retrofitter Foundry in there too meaning that the prices will come down on these three eventually. But who gives a shit look at this Hydra by Ron Spencer.

Valgamoth is just a tenant in a plane that wants to expand beyond the planar HOAs, The real threat is Loot and the cure is a deep fryer.

Instead you can have ANYTHING free.

If you think 8 energy will be hard to get...

She easily dies to removal and banished to pre-cons instead of main set. Also limited to only using it on permanents instead of all spells. Such pre-con cards are only used in Commander, Vintage, and Legacy.
Thankfully it's pre-banished to the commander-only cards to sell boosters pit
People seemed to have ignored that bit of information.

Sometimes I wonder if you autists even know what you're trying to argue about any more.

Me? I'm complaining about Chandra getting top surgery or something.

Also Kylo Ren is apparently now a god on Amonkhet.

Given the fact that Kaito and Wanderer fucked his ass up when it came to direct conflict, Valgavoth is only a threat because the characters won't directly deal with him.

Jace and Vraska are planning.
Are we really going to be pretending that Jace and Vraska are evil now?

She doesn't die as easily to removal in Modern as you might think, You need Revolt to Push her (Down the stairs like Chandra) and Lightningbolt isn't as popular as it used to be.

Also removal doesn't matter if you already have 8 energy when you play her.

Get the Zombie precon now, if you had to choose between Brown Girl Military Industrial Complex or Zombie tribal with a side of bullshit I'd get two of the zombie tribal. Just remember it when Hasatron suddenly becomes the face of Esper bullshit.

Aettherdraft mechanics up.

Also MaRo's latest just....
As a quick aside: Last month, we published an article (which you can read here) about our decision to change the name of the plane of Kaladesh to Avishkar. For this article, whenever I reference the plane itself, I am going to call it Avishkar. When referring to the set that used the plane's old name, I'll call it Kaladesh.

For mom's sake, do you guys not realize how dumb you're starting to sound trying to be all sensitive?

I mean Current Lore is probably worse.
I didn’t say that the sentiment still didn’t hold true. Unfortunately. I’m still on the band wagon that we should start writing our own take on what’s happening in mainline magic and try to gaslight people into thinking it’s actually what’s going on. Like that Ashiok calls people Faggot, Teferi gave Jhoira a Nigger pass, and the phyrexians didn’t actually kill 6 million across the multiverse (the numbers were inflated GREATLY), ELESH NORN DID NOTHING WRONG.

To be fair, that was peak jacetis league era, so you could just say anything about it and anyone in this thread would probably back you up on that fact.
There were good parts. "I am Avacyn" is one of the more standout stories. It summarizes the events immediately before the art in "Anguished Unmaking".

1038-anguished-unmaking-mobile.jpg

For those who don't care to read it. Sorin clears the madness from the Arch Angel Avacyn, his greatest creation designed to safeguard his plane and protect the humans on it. Before this, she was reprogrammed by Nahari to genocide the humans of the plane. She immediately understands the threat she poses to the humans of the plane. Then forces Sorin to bind or unmake her to eliminate the threat she herself posed.

It's the first time Sorin is utterly powerless to stop the consequences of his own actions, and portrays a man trying, begging and ultimately losing everything he spent millenia trying to save because he knows it's over and the world is fucked when Avacyn dies.
