I find it disturbing that they give a noticeably greater effort in the UB shit than they do with their original products
I mean its an incredibly low fucking bar given Foils Still Pringle, The story has been shit since forever, They are letting their cool new format be a shit show just like what happened with Pioneer. Their super duper Pro tour pulls less live numbers than fucking World of Warcrafts Mythic Dungeon shit.

It's making me more and more glad that my last purchase was in Crimson Vow.

Funny part is they do literally nothing to help themselves. They have a online client (well 2 technically) they could shill into getting up their numbers with twitch drops and they could be doing twitch prime promos to try to grow their numbers. The literal retards running the clown fiesta don't give a shit about growing their brand in any way but trying to mine other fandoms for new players but ONLY if the new players give them money for the privilege.

Whenever I look at "high level" commander being played, it always just looks like really poor yugioh.
About right. Force of Will / Negation / Subtlety / Fierce Guardianship are basically just hand-traps, and the most common deck strategies involve spending half of the game shuffling with tutors. I guess the difference is that not literally-every-deck descends into constant searching.
Edit: oh shit, Ral is also a furry now
Do you get it? He's an otter. An otter, you see. Otter is a term used by gay men to describe gay men. See, Ral has a very deep personality, in that he is gay.

No no no, don't you see hitting the pop Culture Iron While it is hot will bring in new people.

Walking Dead, Doctor Who..Marvel are all properties that are in their fucking prime and will bring in the fans.

LMAO FUCKING LMAO

That all Pre-dates Crimson Vow.
True, but that was also where they did that bullshit with the specialty set. I just got tired of them not doing anything to fix their card quality.
This has been a problem for going on 7 years now. It’s only gotten worse since then and starting with dominaria, the feel of the cards has been awful compared to prior printings
Oh yeah, I was noticing it even going on with Kaladesh. Meanwhile I've got old border foils that curl far less. They have absolutely cheaped out on the card stock.

I distinctly remember Amonkhet was where the print quality fucking nosedived. Amonkhet -nonfoils- curled. The set was such a shitshow from that, from its nigh-worst-of-all-time limited format (exert is such a bad mechanic, and lmao glorybringer), and the "egyptian" theme being complete garbage.

Man, remembering that format brings me back. If you think MKM is trash, just look through that set's commons. "So it's a 2-mana 3/3 flyer that attacks every other turn? Sweet, guess I can't block and you can't block and we'll just keep throwing dudes at each other"

Are the cards within these modern horizons commander decks going to be modern legal? I don't remember if the LotR commander cards were, but I assume not. It's weird to be printing cards for a set named for modern, but they aren't playable in the format. Not that WOTC needs more chances to destroy modern.

Good to see the top guy represented.
please help me I am kaladeshi, please help me I am fucking kaladeshi.png

I'm really hoping it's a Lutri joke.

Well that was retarded as shit because Lorwyn elves are self loving faggots who hate anything not a Lorwyn elf, Nissa is different enough from them (she got no Hooves or Horns) they would instantly call her an
Yeah. And Ajani never stops being a cat, even if he goes somewhere that lacks them. Nor did Nicol Bolas ever stop being a dragon. Why doesn't Veaska change if she goes to a plane without gorgons? Or Sorin when he visits a place without vampires?

If Jace is taking on a furry form using illusion magic to make them more comfortable that would make sense. But changing bodies just because he's there breaks everything they ever established about the planes.

He literally can't keep getting away with it.

Would have kinda been funny to see Ajani turn into a human on this plane, but for the most part, the original IP is dead.

Angrath gets stuck again, and this time he's a human.

As soon as they can get away with printing only universes beyond, so within a year or two. The game will become like a western Weiss/Schwarz and be entirely based on playing cards based on other IPs. So, I think magic won't become obscure, but The game won't have an identity and won't have an actual IP of it's own.
If universes with in sets keep flopping like Karlov manor then, Hasbro's take would not be too much product or too much bad product, but would it be no one wants mtg ip sets, and the players only want universe beyond.

So on the mtg page giving a "first look" at Bloomburrow they explained for us:

And finally, the Imagine: Courageous Critters showcase treatment invites you to envision renowned Planeswalkers and creatures were they to visit the plane of Bloomburrow!

So I guess furry Jace is more of a "what if" than him actually changing.

Though it also wouldn't surprise me if they phrased it this way to see how the public reacts and then they'll go with whichever answer gets them the least heat.

Yes, it is totally fair. Getting your ass kicked the first dozen games is how it's always been

I got destroyed every game I played for the first month of playing. I see it as a rite of passage to finding your footing in magic

The reason the people that are "good' have expensive cards in most cases is that they have been playing years to get good and just know how to use the shit. You
I don't know what all you retards and speds are talking about. I started playing MTG right when New Phyrexia came out against all my casual friends. I had no issues dominating right out the gate. I didn't have to go through 10+ game losing streaks. Everyone just died to my hobbled together poison deck of random colors and cards. Skill issue for you faggots, I guess.

Get on my level.
