Or are they just transing the cat people for maximum ESG?

IRRC Leonin from Theros are fucking Flat Chested as hell as a general design, this one is just scruffy as fuck too.

Edit : Don't forget that Promo Art is usually random as hell sometimes.
That can be fine, it just triggers my biology OCD when they take breasts away from anthropomorphic mammals and give it to anthropomorphic reptiles or birds.

Eh Leonin Chicks in Theros are the Asian Chicks of the Leonin.

Just go to New Phrexia for your big Tiddy Leonin Waifu.

Looks like Brother's War Jumpstart has completely collapsed and isn't selling for shit. It's amazing how if you make a shitty product, no one will want to buy it regardless of how much diversity and gender specialness you preach.

I ended up picking up a box of it after having seen zero information about it and it’s a major let down. I thought it was more along the lines of original jumpstart, and was very disappointed. I decided to make the most of it and turn my box into a set of balance dual decks for game night, but I’m definitely not buying jumpstart again.

It's amazing how they butcher these products. The first release was very solid and hyped people up, then the Dominaria ones have been hot garbage to the point they are being dumped at 50$ a box at this point. Commander Legends were solid as well, but then Baulder's Gate was just mediocre for what people expected, I still think that one is oversold, but it's just a massive swing from good to underwhelming.

This shit probably has fucked countless game stores and most likely is leaving a bad taste in a lot of player's mouth. Just seems like a really shitty business model that's set up for long term failure as opposed to a lasting brand.

Jumpstart was never a good product for cracking packs. The first iteration had some valuable cards and was scarce (in the beginning, at least), causing speculators like Rudy to hype it up. But at its core, its 2-3x the cost of a normal pack for a promo land and a 25% chance at a second rare. Whoop dee fucking doo.

I don't know if drafting Jumpstart the way it was intended is any fun, but if you're buying for the value of the cards inside you're just deluding yourself.

The big difference isn't so much that it's fun to crack, but if it's a product to introduce players into the game and have its own format, it's much better to have value in it than just be junk. Sure, I wouldn't necessarily buy it normally, but if I want to show a new player the game, it's much easier to convince myself to buy a pack or box with something potentially good in it, so that even if they end up not getting into the game you might get something out of it from a pack. Same goes for if you just want to try a Jumpstart draft format and see if it's fun, it's much easier to crack a pack that may have value than one that is assured to not.

That and it's always a plus if a player getting into the game can crack a pack and get something cool that people are hyped about instead of junk.

it's fun if you're playing with new players. the first jumpstart was great for that, I still have some laying around for if someone new shows up to learn to play.
