He got fired from a community college as an English teacher. They didn't even tell him, he just one day showed up and saw he wasn't assigned any classes for the next semester.

Meathook finally got banned in Standard, so mono black will be fine but less good for sure. 3 color piles will be less effected because red and white have decent sweepers to pick up the pace and the black domain sweeper isn't bad either.

Yorion got banned in Modern and the banning went into a tangent about how 80 card decks are hard to shuffle instead of just focusing on how my boy Yorion died for MH2 Elemental Tribal's sins.

apparently a "diverse" metagame is having every deck be elementals + wrenn and six + omnath with a slightly different win condition. modern has been absolute trash for over a year now and until they actually look at what's going on in the format instead of just win rate spreadsheets it's going to stay trash.
 
I'll admit that I've often disagreed with how magic sometimes defines deck "diversity." As if swapping 3-4 cards out of 60 is fundamentally changing the whole concept.

Don't get me wrong - i know how tweaking a few cards can change a deck's performance, but IMO deck "diversity" would be decks which have less than 50% non-land cards in common between them.

It's sort of an interesting topic. Right now (pre-meathook, which is an important enough card that it is going to mix up the meta a lot) BO3 standard is pretty much just Mono-black, rakdos sac, black and 2 other color midrange decks the oddball selesnya enchantments and mono blue delver/djinn. While this sounds pretty similar and they are all built around the same core of black cards they all do play pretty differently and sometimes have multiple builds even within the color combo and usually the cards that are different between them feel like the most powerful cards in the deck.

I've heard the argument (which I don't agree with) that the current standard is really fun and well balanced as along as your idea of M:tG is playing top deck wars with other decks trying to eek out enough of an advantage to pull ahead. I personally only play standard for the yucks and keep my serious children's card game playing to explorer but I'll probably try playing Bant Midrange some after the ban because drawing cards and resolving Storm the Festival is kind of fun.

I was with him on the idea that it would have been cool to run drafts of beta even if it was a little more expensive than a normal pack and it was proxies, but the second he started going "we hear this product is not for you..." I just wanted to call him a faggot. Dude, shut the fuck up, that's the same thing you and your kind told countless players because they wouldn't suck BLM or troon cock, and now that the company has ditched you for wealthier frontiers you don't get to bitch. I hope they give him the Quarterpounder treatment and tell him to stop using their IP in his channel, because get fucked.

At this point given the reaction that some "mainstream" creators and pro-level players have had about This shit and Proxies I am starting to think that WOTC finally bending over entirely backwards and shitting into their own mouth over this stupid ass collectors edition is the best thing that has happened into the game in a very long time.

WOTC is selling people 250 Dollar packs of Proxies, I won't remotely feel sad about finding some Etsy thot to whip up some ABU proxies for 15 bucks and throw em in a sleeve with a land and quite frankly I bet all those Legacy and Vintage players won't care either.

That's legit something WotC said in the past in regards to I believe Ultimate Masters? He was shit-talking the company not simping, much as he annoys me he's pretty much right here.

Not that I like him, just he's right in this case and there is context to why he using that phrase.

Yes it has, that is their go to line any time they over-charge for a shitty product or when someone brings up issues with things like the Walking Dead or Universes beyond having potential issue with reprints and all the Shills bleated it each time. I bet you can find a video where he defends them using that phrase when they first started using it.

Yes it is, and it's something every company has said to people who didn't like some shitty woke product, and I wouldn't be surprised if he had said it himself to anyone who didn't agree with said woke product. My issue is that him and others have no problem saying "this product isn't for you" and reveling in it when it's to people they don't like, but when it's said to them they throw a bitch fit like he was there.

The 30th Anniversary proxies are stupid as shit, but I don't care if they exist, and the people buying them are idiots. Though to watch a grown man be so emotional over being told maybe it's not for him after doing the same to others is just disgusting.

Hell I remember when some LGS had their ability yo sell product was pulled because they had a KEK flag.
