That's 100% fair. Cons are sort of an acquired taste, and I say that as someone who's a bit of an old head. General con culture has changed dramatically in the past decade.
If you want peace and quiet after you've had your fill of MAG for the day, it's honestly recommended that you get a hotel room at another hotel entirely, because MAGFest literally does not stop. 24 hour con + concerts/performances + huge drinking culture = nonstop noise. Not that there's anything inherently wrong with that, it's just not everyone's cup of tea.
Maybe it's because I've been going to it since 2012 (and it's become probably the most pozzed con on the east coast), but MAGFest doesn't have that wow factor it once had for me. I know I talked about it on one of my previous posts, but some people brought signs that just said "Fuck ICE."
