A really great (but heavy) stream Null, good job! You mentioned that you wanted to do streams on some classic dead lolcows, any idea on who you're gonna cover?

Fingers crossed, Terry Davis

And yeah that was a heavy video but it was very well done, probably the best Mad at the Internet stream

Mad at the Internet is absolutely one of my new favorite streams to watch. It explains the story of a lolcow in a funny and succinct way, while sticking to a chronological series of events as to present an interesting story to newcomers and those who are already knowledgeable about the situation. For instance, I didn't have a clue who Jacob Wohl was, but having a gaff at him committing fraud and walking up to random people's doorstep was funny as shit. I knew about Mumkey for years, but I still got a lot out of the stream because it was jam packed with hilarious bits which add to the story (especially Blackjack analogy and Liu's porn tags), and even 4 great life lessons. Thanks for putting these together, Null, here's hoping for many more!

Although, I think it would be a good idea to at least read superchats at the end when the outro music is playing or something, because I'm not convinced the Mumkey stream wasn't prerecorded.

Best Mad At The Internet since Emily Youcis. At least as good as the Emily Youcis MATI, maybe better. I liked the Emily stuff because I enjoyed the content more but this one was better because you threw some funny bits in there. Blackjack was good shit. Maybe I like Emily's MATI better because it ended the best way it could have for her and a lot of her shit wasn't really under her control, while Mumkey is just a whiny pussy who acts like it isn't under his control and picked worst case scenario.

honestly, the 3 hour long Down the Rabbit Hole on Terry is good enough, unless there's a lot more DTRH didnt get to.

A few hours ago Null had a very sneaky variety stream. Stream's topics included (but weren't limited to) the recent server hassle, the most jewish lawyer ever, a small follow-up on Mumkey Jones and a Kay Bingo.

@Null

I finally got to watching some of your recent streams, and figured I'd give some positive feedback, since you sounded a bit downtrodden on most of them.
Complimenting someone on the internet always seems really lame to me, but whatever, you've earned it.

1. First and foremost, what you deliver is actually entertaining. You may sound like an autistic Ben Carson, and interrupt your stream with weird and/or disgusting feeder-topics,
but the main course tends to be pretty good. No low-effort filler, no dead air.

2. You're not chasing trends or chasing numbers. Given how successful unfunny assholes screeching into a camera can be on youtube, ever-pandering to the lowest common denominator and the dumbest audiences possible, it's always refreshing to see a streamer who stays true to himself and manages to entertain on his own merits.
It's an uphill battle, and starting a channel with lengthy livestreams is difficult. You're not one to go for the path of least resistance.

3. We got your back. I'm sure most regulars here are aware of the extraordinary length you've gone through to keep this site going.
Still, I didn't know 1776hosting was also responsible for keeping the lights on at ED, so kudos for that as well.

The thing you mentioned about autonomous systems being essentially able to "crash the internet", is this what you were talking about?
Care to elaborate on that topic? I find it interesting that the web would have such a single point of failure.

Finally, regarding the literature you mentioned, I suggest reading up on the concept of "Fabian Socialism" and "the long march through the institutions" as well.
I believe it explains a whole lot about the contemporary left. Why they perceive themselves to be on the "right side of history", and why they're so freaked out about being unable to control the flow of information on the internet.
Most leftists feel that things have been going their way for quite some time, to an ever-more "progressive" future, but they don't know why!

BGP hijacking is cool as fuck. We rely on BGP because trying to fix it/make it better will be too much hassle.

Here's some videos explaining the protocol and hijacking
BGP: Border Gateway Protocol - Computerphile
Routers, The Internet & YouTube Offline - Computerphile

Another problem(-ish) with BGP is it's transparent, you can use sites to find the IP address ranges of organisations using sites such as BGPview which can then be used in conjunction with other information gathering tools. Then again, the impact of this will vary depending on the organisation's perimeter security among many other factors.
