TL;DR: Dlive, an obvious bait*, revealed itself as yet another twitch² wannabe where people "will get monetised xddd" [aka: "the site's gonna be hell and will die off after the thrill of the novelty dies off. neat"]. Colour me surprised.
well, at least we still have smashcast (ex-hitbox.tv).
*: What's up with all these crappy sites popping up, promising people Echo Zulu money and then becoming shit? Just do your thing, don't promise money and fuck off. If people want to get monetized they can always use subscribestar, patreon or a custom service like Null did with the mad at the internet website. then all the platform needs to do is to find a way to integrate patreon or whatever into their site and job's done, you may go fuck yourself. Or something like that, I don't know.
and if they need ads, so be it. adblock is still a thing, or they can do a premium-ish thing like twitch did. which is just a glorified adblock, if you ask anyone with a brain.
but you maybe able to stream directly onto someone's PC through Beastcast. which was made by a Joowz (pre-vinesauce, they claim vs copied them) user.
http://pastebin.com/raw/kzCMJdv9 or you can use smashcast or one of these tard-ass alternatives.
We should have a thread about why all these "alternative sites" fucking fail.
Vid.Me had something like drama and monetization exploitation, iirc. stream.me is still a mistery to me. smashcast is because the admins were mindless cretins and changed the name from hitbox without saying a thing about that.
TL;DR: "Curse Voice\Twitch App stream room."

yeah, pretty much sums up the whole "why isn't a youtube\twitch competitor yet?" question. The point is easy money. They were mining (not their own linocoin, which isn't a real cryptocurrency, but something else) on peoples machines until they got larger investments, which they then used to court PewDiePie. They're going to ride this out, and when it fizzles they'll shutter. Just like stream.me with Keemstar or Vid.me with whoever they got.

Imagine if discord had an option to support server-wide streaming. A text room with a media player that doesn't suck like WMP with chat scrolling normally.Literally looks exactly like discord

The site looks weird, they use the same "plz adblock bad whitelist us nao" tactics that turns me off completely (especially when it's a banner on the media player itself while watching a stream) and there's santa smoking a joint while streaming some 2009 peace gifs. How about vaughnlive.tv?
Surely their servers are decent now...at least I hope they are.
