Heavy rains story is riddled with plotholes because DC chose to rewrite the story half way through the games development. Its by far his worst game, and none of them are good. The choices matter just as much in HR as in any other choice based game, very little.

I saw you struggling with passing the checks yesterday. Here are some tips on how to increase your chances to pass the checks in Disco Elysium.

Change your outfit
-take a look at what skill the check is testing.
-If it’s Savoir Faire, look at what you’re wearing and see if you have anything on that deducts from your Savoir Faire score, and take it off. See if you have any clothing that will up your Savoir Faire score and put that on.
-You will need to exit the conversation to do this.

Use consumables
-Use consumables for the archetype of the skill. You can see which archetype each skill belongs to by the color it’s written in. Adds +1 to the skill but will damage your health or morale, so use carefully or you’ll die.

Intellect: Blue attributes (Logic, Encyclopedia, Rhetoric, Drama, Conceptualization, Visual Calculus)
Use cigarettes to get +1 in any of the blue attributes, will give you -1 health. Can be bought in the shop.

Psyche: Purple attributes (Volition, Inland Empire, Empathy, Authoritu, Esprit de Corps, Suggestion).
Use Pyrholidon for +1 psyche, -1 health. Can be found in the pawn shop.

Physique: Red attributes (Endurance, Pain Threshold, Physical Instrument, Electrochemistry, Shivers, Half Light).
Use alcohol for +1 physique, -1 Morale. Can be bought in the store.

Motorics: Yellow attributes (Hand-Eye Coordination, Perception, Reaction Speed, Savoir Faire, Interfacing, Composure)
Use amphetamine for +1 Motorics, -1 Morale damage. Can only be obtained by exploration.

Save and reload in case you fail
If you fail a white check it will remain locked until you spend one of your skill points on that specific skill. So avoid trying to pass the skill check with low odds, or make a habit of saving before entering each conversation.

I only learned this on my 2nd or 3rd playthrough and I didn’t find it to be very intuitive.

Fun fact: in Detroit become human you just need to press a button before the timer runs out.

i think most people automatically associate the word strip club with smut so you’re good. Actually now that I think about it, it’s not even a strip club, it’s a brothel lol.

Spoiler: it’s a fun chapter. The robot has a mental breakdown and kills the shit out of some pervert. You then need to track down the killer by reading all the other robots memories. Their memories get wiped every 30 minutes so it’s a race against the clock. If you find the killer, you get a kick ass fighting scene. If you win you can chose to let the robot get away and escape with her lesbian lover or capture it.
 
I don't care what games he plays, as long as he does something.
I usually keep the stream as background while I work because having someone be racist and call people faggots is relaxing.
 
I love Disco Elysium and bless Josh for playing this headache of a game, but watching someone else play it is like watching someone listen to an audio book that constantly gets interrupted by loud horns.
