While watching MATI when the robot girl game came up I noticed Mald's chat vs Shadows Chat.

One of these chats is not like the other. Not it isn't absolute proof, but I can't imagine 500 extra people would make the chat move that much faster.
But in my opinion he's botting.

Played RE9 when it came out and didn't really thought much of the little girl, tbh. At the end of the day, i believe there isn't a big outrage with these games because most people are normal and don't get a boner when they see a kid on the game.

Know what most people are into? Regular women. Which is why Lady Dimitrescu in RE8 went so viral at the time, motherfuckers were horny for that character. Josh's battle scarred, he's dealt with so many pedophiles over the years that he sees shit like Pragmata and instantly says NOPE.
I'm curious about Pragmata though, is the hacking done in real time by you or is the little girl doing it by herself while you are aiming? Gameplay didn't look like it would be my cup of tea, but the game is not that expensive...

You control the hacking game with the dpad as you move and shoot. I heard a lot of good things about the game, I want to try it out myself

Gameplay is more similar to the Supermassive Dark Pictures games rather than the LiS series as it has tons of QTE’s. I suggest playing it on max difficulty, failing the QTEs is fun!!

The second worst David Cage game is Heavy rain, aka ”Dad of the year - the video game”. A man has to go through Saw like trials to save his son from the Orrygammy killer. The plot twist at the end is the worst fucking plot twist of all time. It has a ton of fun meme worthy moments. JASON?!? SHAUN?!?!

The Ellen Page showering simulator can be skipped, but might be worth looking into if David Cage tickles your fancy.

You can fuck up and kill one of the main characters pretty early in the game and their story is just gone lol. (In Detroit)
 
I’ll be honest, I forgot about the android strip club happening in D:BH, so I get Josh’s not wanting to play through that. Fucking Davad Caaaaage and his need to put horny shit in his games. I was looking forward to watching Josh make Connor murder the other androids lmao

The game is extremely long, finishing it in 2 streams is extremely optimistic. He hasn’t even gotten through day one yet. There are 5 days lol.

Why would he not be able to stream this? There is no nudity in the game.
 
Seeing the recent stream, on hydroxyzine. Funny enough I'm prescribed that one. I just take it at night because it makes me a bit sleepy.

Basically it's kind of what you said. It's an antihistamine. Bendryl is actually stronger than hydroxyzine in its effects. Which is why they prescribe hydroxyzine for things. Because bendryl is so sedating it makes it hard to do things on it sometimes. While hydroxyzine does make you a little tired, it's easy to function normally if you took it, and not pass out, or be way out of it.

Also Benadryl is actually pretty bad for your brain. Literally. It's found to have ties to Alzheimer's. So it's better to get a prescription to hydroxyzine and take that for a milder version of what benadryl does.

I’m disappointed, I was looking forward to it so much. I really think it would be one of his funniest video game streams. I’ve wanted to see him play it for a long time.

I wonder if it’s because people told him there is a little girl robot in it after he was talking about that Pragmata game??
The one in Detroit is not sexualized at all though and you kind of forgot about her a lot of the time.

Maybe he explained why in the Disco Elysium stream, I just haven’t watched it yet. Was bummed out when I went to watch the stream and it was that instead of Detroit.

The strip club section is really tame in my opinion. There’s nothing graphic. Like, the robots are just kind of awkwardly dancing in places and the underwear they have on looks almost more sports like than something you’d normally see in a strip club.

I guess I can get why he wouldn’t want to play through it. But I feel like it is pretty tame.

I think the robots from the Nier Automata game feel more sexualized than this despite this section being in a sex club.

I hope he reconsiders playing it, there’s so many parts that I think would be hilarious to see him play through.

Edit: So I went and listened to a bit of the Disco Elysium stream and he said the reason was because the first 5 chapters take place in a strip club.

Josh, that’s not true. It’s just a small section of the game, just one chapter. It’s not at the beginning and it’s not very long. How long it takes depends on how long you take investigating and you can just look up how to get through that section faster if you don’t want to be there long.

The game has three different characters you play as and it switches between them as you go.
The strip club is a section where you play as Connor who is a detective and you are investigating deviancy in androids. You go to the strip club to investigate a murder there. The story in this section plays into the themes of the rest of the game. So, for a reason to have a strip club in a game it’s better than most I think.

I really hope you do play it one day. Your video game streams are the most entertaining when you are playing story driven walking simulators like this and Life is Strange. Especially when they have politics or beliefs and such that are contrary to your own. Or games that are trying to be deep but have bad writing. That’s where a lot of the comedy comes from when you play them. The Dustborn streams were very funny.
Detroit is a goldmine for a Bad at Video games stream. It has everything.
But it’s also good at points and has some characters that are actually very likable. Which makes the rest of it suck so much more. I think it could have been great if it was just about the two detective characters but instead it tried to be about racism or something and really failed at that.

@Null I enjoyed the Disco Elysium stream.

There's two mechanics I didn't get until like half way through my first playthough that I think you should be aware of. One is the repeatable white checks. You get a chance to retry them any time the odds change. That can happen either from dialog/events like the Cuno buff for not throwing up or by adding a skill point to the relevant skill. Meaning if you bank some skill points then when you fail a white check you can exit the dialog, add a skill point, and try again immediately. The risk is your skills might be lower for the red one-chance checks.

The other is that there's a bunch of passive hidden checks all over the dialog that don't show up if they fail. The skills you've seen pop up in dialog a lot like reaction speed are because you're passing those passive checks more since those skills are higher. Basically just don't write off the other skills completely.

Also, I know you're annoyed at failing that 83% check but you also passed the 17% check on measurehead. You can get checks that you can't fail with high enough stats but no where near all of them and I think that's clearly intentional because otherwise there would be no tension and the story would be a lot less dynamic. For instance you only got to talk to the guy at the counter about the cock carousel because you failed the check on the radio. Accordingly I'm against save scumming, at least on a first playthough. I wouldn't sweat failed checks.

accepting failed checks is part of the core rpg experience, especially more traditional crpgs, and this game is basically just a crpg without the combat
