Some cameras explicitly support it, the TL;DR is they sign the original so that you can tell if an image has been edited etc. openAI I believe also signs generated images as AI. This metadata is obviously lost if you screenshot an image, but the original image should be provably original if it conforms to the C2PA. Photojournalists etc use it.

Well that's a damn shame. Joshua, if you had a lot more lean muscle mass your life would improve in ways you need to see firsthand to understand.

You could consume a lot more cheese without getting fat. You could have much, much fatter girlfriends that you'd still be very capable of manhandling sexually.

There's honestly a really good reason they do it. I start at like 450 people total and get up to like 3000 by an hour in. I use the news segment as my AI filler because my thought is only the super fans showing up on time would care about my politics anyways

Not deboonked per se, it just can't do everything. As that post itself says:
1) C2PA does not authenticate the visual content. (This isn't even something that C2PA claims to do.)

What C2PA is for, is you posting a picture/video of yourself and someone edits it to show you sucking black cock. And you can then reliably prove them wrong by having the signature of the original picture. Without that, one couldn't know which was the original and which the edit.

Yeah, I don't read his blog regularly, I just remembered he posted a bunch about shenanigans that the people establishing the standard was up to as well as issues with the standard.

Though if I remember correctly (I can't be bothered to re-parse the standard) nothing seems to stop you from taking a photo of your screen showing the edited photo with a bad clock and presenting that as the signed original (or simpler just dump the private key from your camera and sign the edited photo directly), so it seems pretty useless.

There is an onion to unfold here. Or really more a shallot, because it's not that complicated.
Gun control is all about the government having power over you. It's not for your safety, no matter what anybody who either hasn't thought about it or thinks you're stupid might say. It is objectively and solely to place you at the mercy of the state. This includes being at the mercy of their enforcement, or more relevantly, the lack of it.
