i don't even know why if fucking bother setting these at noon. i wake up before 8 and start plugging away and i just can't get a single fucking thing to work and i lose hours trying to set up fucking anything.

Have you tried changing your appearance setting to "offline"?

Did you try shutting down the computer and turning it back on again? You’d be surprised by the problems doing this can solve.
