Because the average wage at the IRS would have to be upwards of $1 million. The desirability of the jobs there and the prestige that they are given in culture would be completely different. Most people are one or two degrees of separation from someone who works at the IRS. It would not escape cultural consciousness. If you stopped to question it for even a moment you could have figured out that this wasn't the case. I don't even disagree with your sentiment towards the organization; I just think you'd be a bit less miserable if you didn't always jump towards the worst assumptions.

The American government will always have a pro-immigration policy (that'd be legally or ilegally) because the financial interests of big corporations align with it.
democrats will say they're helping refugees and what not, republicans will doom about how if you don't import billions of immigrants china will rape America.
but its just money speaking, it saturates the job-market lowering down prices and in case of H1B's its also a good tool for worker suppression.

they could easily make it so that H1B workers get stronger protections and a higher overall salary so they actually get to be well needed talent but they won't.

Bro there are TWO of them with in TWO seconds of each other. One at 2:09 and the other at 2:11. In my view, and someone correct me if Im wrong, the extent of ICE's actions is going to be equivalent to giving all our enemies a soft pummeling, telling them who told them to do it (us), and then melting back into the background in 2028 or 2032, maybe earlier.
Its just a leg of the same cycle theyve been running the last 60-100 years.

The IRS could never have a budget of 500 billion becuse that needs to go to the 1200 billion social welfare. Military buffs eat your heart out, despite being the highest in the world the US defense budget isn't the largest discretionary expense by a long shot at only 800b a year.

$12 is egregious, but if it were $500 that would be a massive talking point rather than an obscure fact to bring up on stream. If you've ever looked at a pie chart of government spending you'll know there's no 10% slice for the IRS carved out. 10% is about the amount that goes to all government employees in total. As horrific as that might be you're not going to fit another 10% for the IRS on top of it.
