For your next motherboard if you decide to upgrade to Am5 instead of getting a 1700 board, a good option would be the MSI X870 tomahawk. It has a 7 segment post code display for easy troubleshooting, 4 m.2 slots, dual USB 4 and another USB-C port (totaling 3 USB-C ports on the rear IO), and the main PCIe 5.0 x16 slot doesn't share lanes with anything else on the board. It's currently on sale in Newegg for 229 dollarsGigabyte Aero Z790 G

Woke up today with no lights no signs of life. PC dead. I am forced to assume this is the motherboard cracking from wear after the move. Nothing else fits the bill.
I am going to stream regardless from my laptop.
He has Intel. If his core is still good, all he needs is a new Z790 board. X870 is AMDFor your next motherboard if you decide to upgrade to Am5, a good option would be the MSI X870 tomahawk. I know that. The thing to consider is that LGA 1700 is a dead socket with no future upgrade path, it may not be worth buying a motherboard to keep using the same CPU. Moving to AM5 would give more longevity and upgrade paths to his purchase, but it would cost more to do so. If he has an I9, than sticking to another LGA 1700 board is a good choice, but if he has a midrange CPU it personally wouldn't be the choice I would makeHe has Intel. He does have an I9, he said so many streams ago. I run Intel. A 12th gen I9 still kicks ass. Don't tell the man to buy a new rig when a motherboard swap is all he needs.I know that. State of the art octo-core architecture for maximum Megabonk! with no frame lossI know that. The power supply getting fried and a Gigabyte motherboard shitting itself are both equally likely outcomes. I love my Dr.power power supply tester for this very reason. it's a cheap 15 dollar tool that every PC builder should have that will save you a shit ton of time. It beeps and the screen turns red when a power supply is either dead or doesn't have the right voltagesCould also be the PSU. Those fry before anything
He has to autistically scream "LETS GET SOME SUUUUUUUBS" if he wants those greens.Today's stream can have a dono goal on screen for a new PC/motherboard
