Bugged computer mechanicz

So just an update but my computer rebuild has been a total and complete disaster. I have hit every single problem point imaginable and today after getting everything working 100% I racked the device and rebooted to no post.

On the motherboard it is flickering between CPU and DRAM. This means that either display is not initiating or memory is not working. I have painstakingly tested every card one at a time, removed the GPU, reset CMOS, and tested both HDMI and display ports on the motherboard itself. Nothing works. I don't know what changed to make it stop working. I'm close to assuming all four RAM sticks have gone bad which I can't test because I don't have spares and I can't even upgrade because they're very recent.

This issue with dram is the first issue I encountered and I feel I've been set back to square one. I've spent four full days on this and I'm very tired. If I can't get it working tonight I can't prep tomorrow and I can't stream. I'm so frustrated I'm literally about to drop it off at the shop and take an impromptu drive to Alaska or some shit. I absolutely despise working on computers at every single level. There is not a single element from hardware to user interface I enjoy anymore.
Something you might have done/tried or unuseful advice.
Have you tried leaving it running for like 10 minutes?
When I was troubleshooting my pc after building it I thought something was wrong. Nothing was posting, and I just let it run for like 10-20 minutes while I phone searched about local repair shops. Then when I went back to kick the pc case it was fully booted.
I later learned that there is a memory setting for “learning” that created a large starting boot up

Since Null likes documentaries he might appreciate this one. It goes over the Trayvon Martin story and lays out the facts about it really nicely. It really portrays just how manufactured the story was by the media.

Necroing this because after forgetting about putting in my watch later I kept getting it suggested to me this past week and finally watched it. TY for this suggestion. It was really fun seeing how hilariously ghetto everyone around Trayvon was and hearing the white filmmaker say things like "nigga" and "you wan dat pussy".

Did you try a different power supply? Double check all the power connectors, and if modular both ends of every single one. (Why yes, I did have a PS fail recently and the second PS also not work until I got to the third replacement)

At risk of being an annoying dick, would it work to spend $600 on a laptop and use that just for the stream?
(Yes, I’ll chip in)

Oh and last time I had a weird. no-boot problem on my desktop it’s because a display wasn’t plugged in properly - WTF.

I would like this if this white man didn't spend a fucking hour "tracking" down a fucking nigress. Seriously, going to Florida, and paying a scam haitian priest, Can't fucking read names from 6 year books, always heading back to California, If you cut out all the "Diamond" bullshit, you might have a decent video. Instead you have an hour of tracking down a black girl in a black neighborhood where you could probably knock on any door and say "yeah i'm a reporter following up on the trayvon case" and get mad pussy.
wait. i'm drunk
any case, i'm most surprised by his "father" being named Tracey and not something fucking retarded like Trey SEE!

Or Adderall, if you really hate smoke.
Abso-fucking-lutely not, you conniving Semitic worm.
have you tried giving up and using hard drugs.png wasn't supposed to be a documentary.

Guess the South Korean government IT doesn't have a basic 3-2-1 back up policy. It is a shock that they did not adopt a similar system to that used by the IRS and other companies for archiving data which is to use magnetic tape storage. The main reason cited why magnetic tape is still used is its low cost and longevity (drives are rated for 30 years). A quick search and holy hell it is cheap a 45 TB cartridge for ~$100. The interface for these drives on the other hand cost significantly more.
Longevity of storage is a valid concern but no matter how you look at it it's just insane to have everything in one location. Also wouldn't hard disks or just m-discs have better longevity (provided they are only used for storage)?

M-Disc would have better longevity, but at a much higher price. Storing powered off hard drives doesn't really have a good track record. The platters will keep the data but all the moving parts tend to have issues in a shorter timeframe. Tape moves all of those parts into the drive which is why they last so well.

But, yes, no matter where you store them if it burns down then it isn't going to work very well.

In July of last year, word began to trickle through Ubisoft that an ambitious new installment of the company’s top franchise, Assassin’s Creed, had been cancelled.

The new game would have brought the history-spanning series to one of its most modern settings: The American Civil War and, moreso, the Reconstruction period that followed in the 1860s and 1870s.

In this Reconstruction-era Assassin’s Creed, gamers would play as a Black man who had been formerly enslaved in the South and moved west to start a new life. Recruited by the series’ Assassins, he would return to the South to fight for justice in a conflict that would, among other things, see him confront the emergence of the Ku Klux Klan.

That’s according to interviews with five current and former Ubisoft employees who spoke to Game File on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak about the project. (Ubisoft did not respond to a request for comment for this story.)

The people were enthusiastic about the game but were also frustrated by its cancellation, which they perceived as Ubisoft bowing to controversy.

Three sources told Game File that word filtered through the company last July that management in Paris had stopped development of the game for two reasons: 1) online backlash that spring to the reveal of Yasuke, a historically-inspired Black samurai, as a protagonist in the company’s then-upcoming Assassin’s Creed Shadows; and 2) concern that the political climate in the United States was becoming increasingly tense.

“Too political in a country too unstable, to make it short,” one source familiar with the game and its cancellation told Game File.

Game cancellations are not unusual, sources said, but reasons such as those were.

This would-be Assassin’s Creed game was early.
