I watched this a few years ago. It's a conversation between Ryan Dawson and "Rupert", who lives in Charlottesville and experienced the shitstorm firsthand. Very informative.

I'm a Euro. Serious question: did everyone in the US forget that the whole thing was supposed to be a protest against the removal of a statue of Robert E. Lee? It seemed to me that the MSM focused so much on demonizing the participants that the main reason why they were all there was ignored. It's crazy that the guy who bumped the fat woman with his car got 73469 years in prison.

Nobody forgot. It was in the back of everyone’s minds. It came back to the public conscious after the statue was (after 6 years) melted down to nothingness, spawning this iconic image.

Now, some of you might think that you could make an argument that these people simply breed animals for their aesthetics competitively like how civilized nations might breed cats and dogs for their pedigree, aesthetics, or preservation of very specific traits.
