GDP is a false prophet.
cheesemaster.webp

It's on sale. You know you want to. Cheese master.

Am I supposed to believe England is twice as good per capita, whatever that means, as Japan? That Qatar is a better place to live than Denmark or Italy? That Ukraine (before the war) was as bad as Iraq and South Africa because the numbers on a spreadsheet say so? Come the fuck on.
Using any one metric for the quality of life is never going to be accurate, but it's better than nothing.
There's never going to be a meaningful measure that is simple enough that you can get somewhat reliable data from everywhere and serve as a proxy measure, but GDP is a decent enough proxy and you can make some very broad comparisons for economic activity. It's just that, nothing more. It's fine if you understand what it is and its limitations. In the same way you wouldn't use BMI as a proxy for health when you have better metrics, it's still an okay proxy measure- you can still probably assume someone with a BMI of 22 is probably more healthy than a bmi of 44, but that doesn't mean that BMI is a great measure of health on an individual level.
You're getting mad at the measurement because you're expecting it to do something it literally can't do, and then acting like the measurment is retarded. I wouldn't say it's all that false, because plenty of news programs and lazy histories treat GDP like a scale that 1:1 correlates with quality of life or something. It's only a false god if you believe it's telling you things that it never was; it's a napkin math proxy measurement of economic output.
Be smart, don't be a retard. Quantitation only measures specifically what you're measuring.

You're totally right of course, I was trying to be funny but I clearly failed lol.

I guess what I was trying to say is the powers that be are chasing endless GDP growth at the cost of everything else, especially the stuff you can't measure on a spreadsheet. You could desperately import millions of Indians to ward off a recession for another year like the UK did, but to what end? It made the lives of everyone living there worse, but at least the line went up. Was it really worth it?

I would be very cautious using GDP as a metric since it's a very pozzed value, you can have a high GDP by just having a government spending, as well as hidding imports as "investment"). The simple formula (for the sake of explaining this) for GDP is the following:
Code:
GDP = Consumption + Investment + Government spending + Export - Import
As you can see, high consumption (EBT coonsoming) and government spending (gibbs) is going to look like it's a GDP paradise on paper, but in reality it's a disaster. Don't forget, people who works on indexing what is what in said formula cooks the books to hide shit politically for their agenda.

Don't use GDP, a place that only lives on gibbs and a place that has major productions can look the same on paper, and you won't even know how they actually applied the values to even get the GDP number.

Maybe on the very high and very low end GDP means something, but just look at this:
I will speculate here, I suspect that "investment" includes just value being transferred, on paper; "trading" stuff. When I mean "stuff" it could be stocks, warehouses (shit that isn's sold) and so on, shit you can lie and inflate about.

England has a lot of gibbs, it means high GDP.

That Qatar is a better place to live than Denmark or Italy?
Oil export, high consumption and cheap paajets working for nothing (low expenses). Explains the high GDP for Qatar. Denmark and Italy is leaking money, Denmark have large expenses on Greenland now, I think. Europe has a tendency to force expenses onto their nations (with kike policies) to make them more dependent on the EU.

Cash transactions are frequently not logged in GDP
Depends on how they want the GDP to look.

The entries for the August 8th and 15th streams have been posted to the MATI site but not their local recordings.

Don't know where to poast, I'm sure there was a thread specifically for Null's xitter but I can't find it.

Btw if you think woke shit is on the decline or "the kids are fine", go to this fucking app. Find your home. Find your childhood home. Look around. See the anime porn, troon flags, delta rune garbage everywhere. You get banned for touching the flags.
(emphasis mine)
That last part makes this argument weaker. Of course a site where you get banned for being normal will attract pozfags and repel normals! And even if the site were fair, after the novelty wears off it becomes a gay waste of time and only neet troons stick around.

What you're saying is somewhat accurate about the measure of GDP in aggregate, but per capita GDP does not factor in things like government spending, interest payments, financial transactions, unpaid work, etc. GDP/GDP per capita is a somewhat good number to use when making policy on a governmental level, but there are other numbers that are taken into account on a macroeconomic level to more wholly determine the health on an economy.

I think there's a fundamental misunderstanding most people have about GDP (especially per capita GDP) and how it is calculated which leads them to entirely dismiss it as a economic "vital sign," when it is actually a useful number to know but not the be-all and end-all it's sometimes held up to be.

For example, stock trading, unreported cash transactions, private sales of property/services/goods, personal investments, loans, capital gains/losses, purchase of securities, transfer payments of social security and welfare benefits all are not counted in GDP or in per capita GDP. Nor are intermediate value added services, labor, intermediate goods or capital goods, only finished goods and services purchased by the end user are counted, as that measure (depending on which of the 3 ways in which GDP is calculated you use) accounts somewhat for those costs - obviously not fully unless or until it is adjusted.

I think it's okay to acknowledge that we just have a better and stronger economy than a shithole like Red China without having to put any qualifiers on the statement.

but per capita GDP does not factor in things like government spending
Yes it does, per capita mean you just divide the GDP by the population number of said place.

For example, stock trading, unreported cash transactions, private sales of property/services/goods, personal investments, loans, capital gains/losses, purchase of securities, transfer payments of social security and welfare benefits all are not counted in GDP or in per capita GDP.
This is true, but my gut feeling tells me that accountants/politicians (same boat...) managed to entagle investments and government spending to include social security and welfare in some way (indirect). Inflating those numbers.

Unreported cash transactions and personal investments are like droplets in the ocean. I don't think it means shit in comparison to companies and government organisations.

We've just circled back to our real question, though. Are our vanta-black-Mississipli-niggas out doing Germany? I think they are, a lot of those guys have shockingly decent jobs in factories and extraction industries. Meanwhile Germany seems to be drowning in financilzation and environment regulation (and Arabs).

I actually think the best thing that's happened to black-white race relations in atleast 50 years is importing all these foreigners. it seems to have shocked a large number of blacks into cooperating with the rest of America for once.

Does anyone have a clip of Josh's unhinged tranny rant? I know that doesn't narrow it down lol, but you know, the over-the-top one someone set to final boss music. I thought I had a YT version saved but I can't find it anymore.
