Me and my younger brother were blessed to enjoy the internet and animated shows before it all turned to shit. I get nostalgic watching old cartoons from CN and Nickelodeon. And shows like older South Park, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and other Adult Swim shows. I was gonna ask you this question in a superchat but forgot to. What were some Nick and Cartoon Network (non adult swim/toonami) shows that you liked back then?

I wish I could be as optimistic about the outlook of the world as Josh currently is. But just in the last, what 2 months? I've seen the most worrying government actions for privacy since the Patriot Act. And it's not even just America. It's seemingly the entire western world. All at once. It seems coordinated. Government agencies have definitely been trying this shit for a long time now. And finally people are just letting it happen.

I hope the payment processor stuff does get resolved. Because if it doesn't. And this privacy shit keeps getting worse. I imagine it's going to be a true nightmare. Having to post online, with accounts tied to identifying information. Even if it's not public, it's leaving the doors open to completely crush online free-speech as we know it. And when there is a more hostile government in place, than Trumps. It will be fucking grim. I'm glad illegals are finally getting deported, but that doesn't mean shit if the country the are getting deported from is a surveillance state that gradually turns into the UK/CCP.

I really have a bad feeling with how things are going. I think not only will he not make changes that matter in the long run. But I think there will be another pendulum swing, and the changes that are happening globally while he is in office. Are setting things up for 2016 era deplatforming x10. I genuinely hope I'm wrong. But everything I'm seeing makes me more worried, not more optimistic. Really I'm praying I'm wrong.

Maybe it's nostalgia but I was just watching Alfred's Playhouse, and it brought back a lot of nostalgia for things like New Grounds from back in the day. There was so much creativity there as it was animation before vlogging, which almost doesn't make sense by modern metrics. I wonder what the next thing like it will be, that weird period where someone can express their weird shit that changes how others see things that see it. That's maybe the flaw with LLMs they're to the individual, not the individual to the other like all other prior pushes in humanity such as telephones, radio, video, social media, etc.

Edit: Apropos of nothing what I hate the most about modern media is it's constantly changed to be for everybody by being more inclusive, but it's also stated to be not for "you" when challenged. Either it's made to be as inclusive as possible as shitty 90's cartoons or it's made for a target audience, but instead of that the fuck up writers claim it's your fault for not enjoying it because it's not made for you but you should enjoy it because it's inclusive and made for everyone. Including you, but not you.

I can't watch modern TV any more. Every single show now is required to have multiple black and brown people and most relationships must be interracial. You can tell everything has a quota now. It's quite literally programming. I just want to be surrounded by my own people and not some awful mongrelized hellscape. We had such a nice thing going and then we got infected with this self-loathing and guilt and have been destroying everything our ancestors built up over the last 20 years. How does anyone look at Africa, India, South America, the Middle East, etc and think "yeah, I want America to be more like those places and import all their people so they can bring that here!" Have you ever pressed some liberal that tries to talk up diversity and asked them "can give me any more specifics about what is so great about it without mentioning food?" They can't fucking do it. They will instead instantly call you anracist to dodge giving a real answer. I feel that I'm slowly going insane.

I missed the final season, found out about it and laughed harder than I have in probably a decade. Was a nostalgic find. Still gotta see if I missed any venture bros or metalocalypse.

The upside is even if you cut off everything post-2016 there is still more good media already made than you will ever watch in a lifetime. Even some bad movies from the 90s and 2000s are more enjoyable and creative than plenty of the supposedly good movies coming out today.

Yeah, definitely. Also, everything was shot on film and looks way more natural than contemporary media with their overreliance on excessive color grading. I like it when not everything is super dark and/or tinted.

Somehow even the CGI has gotten worse since peaking in the late 2000s, the one thing that should've improved.

There Are many well documented cases of jeets working their way into high positions at big corporations and then gutting the American workforce and outsourcing as many jobs to India as possible. It either makes the company suffer heavily in quality or in the worst cases the company does if jeet parasite infestation

Personally, I agree with based lich-king Stephen Miller, tax them niggas at 80%+ when they send remittance payments. Honestly, they should tax all remittance payments. You're just plundering the economy here to float the economy of a 3rd world shithole. Some of these places are dependent entirely on remittance payments (ie Mexico, India, the Philippines, and China) and extract billions annually from here - the numbers are mind-boggling, Mexico gets like $55-70 billion every year from here sent back via remittance and more if you include all forms of wire transfer and online payment, plus I don't think that figure accounts for people just taking physical cash back with them.

As far as I'm concerned when the Mexican-Jew president lady went on TV talking about how "her people" in LA needed to rise up that was a declaration of war and we should have steam rooled across the border that day. The Nation of Mexico is an enemy power that must be brought to heel immediately.

The United States should go all the way to the southern border of Panama and if you don't wanna get on board we should just kill you.
