Something interesting, that I would post in the Linux thread normally. But because of the details I think people might want to know here.

So this project wants to make a wiki for general Linux stuff. Like the arch wiki but more generalized.

Some person in their discord. Found the servers ip. And ddosed it down over and over. As a way to let them know their cloudflare set up was misconfigured.

The interesting thing to me, is that this person I guess just has a bot farms for ddosing whoever they want at their disposal. It didn't sound like they were paying to ddos. But they just had access to it.

Quick rundown: Korn's singer, Jonathan Davis, was raped by a woman as a child and his parents didn't believe him. This was the last song on Korn's first album from 1994 where he vented about it, then proceeded to have a mental breakdown during the recording, all of it left on the track intact.

Nick openly and unabashedly says things young men poisoned by the Internet want heard and he seems like a victim of the ever mysterious "System". And because we're still a society based on Christian values, being a righteous male victim is the highest position you can be.

He also wears skirts/kilts during some concerts, he's been bullied about it since he was a kid in school.

That's because a part of his mutt genome just so happens to be Sco'ish and he is doing the most Mutt thing imaginable: going all in the 1/16th of the heritage your gene soup has. Lest we forget he also plays bagpipes on stage, and he played them on the first album as well.

Thanks for sharing this archive. I unfortunately missed watching yesterday’s MATI live, & this helped make up for that. Looks like I missed a fun show, based on the last 10 pages ITT. I have trouble with being available at 12pm Eastern on Fridays.

Back when days & time slots were polled, later times lots weren’t an option after the first round, which was a bummer. I like Friday but 3pm Eastern would be a better time. The old Tuesday show time slot was awesome. I make do, but it makes it difficult to catch the live, & catching the show live is the most fun. The silver lining is that I’ve got a a fresh MATI to watch this weekend, so it pans out.

I saw this when it came out a couple days ago. It had a few clippies in the comments.


In this engineer guys video though the comment section is full of people taking on the clippy pfp. Don't know if it will make a difference. But hey better than nothing.
 
What was the song Josh mentioned Friday that is too long for a stream intro/outro? It was an indie artist but I can't remember where he said it.

Dial-up connectivity stalwart AOL has set a date for cutting off the remainder of its old-tech internet holdouts. AOL, now a Yahoo! property, will end its dial-up internet service, the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN)-based internet connectivity service, on September 30, 2025. Its dial-up service has been publicly available for 34 years, and has provided many an internet surfer's first taste of the WWW. AOL will also end its AOL Dialer software and AOL Shield browser. RIP slowband.

AOL is ending dialup.
